I've been to Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales, all were pretty (I'm a small town girl, so London, our first city, was a huge shock, but I fell in love with Dublin and Edinburgh, beautiful cities, warm, friendly people, and with my almost strawberry blonde hair I fit right in, people mistook me for a local Rome was neat, as was Pompeii, I'd recommend any of them. I want to take DS on a civil war tour out east, and also a WWII tour of Europe--we are both big war history nuts, and while incredibly sad, I think we'd really enjoy it. We visited Coventry already and it was amazing to think of the hard decisions made about that place. I plan on doing both of those tours after the new house is completed. I want him to see the world.

I'd like to take the cruise where you visit a half a dozen northern European capitals, to China to see the Great Wall, and to the Mediterranean again.
DH and I plan to fly to the east coast and rent a car to drive back cross country. We haven't planned our itinerary yet, but it will just be a general idea cuz if we find someplace that we want to stay an extra day or two we will.
IF we don't end up doing any of it for some reason, I'll be fine with that too. I love being home.

China, Italy and Alaska. For China and Italy, I'd like to go to each for a month and tour all around the country. For Alaska, I'd like to take a cruise up, and then stay somewhere for a week or so.

Right now: Turkey in March, Croatia in September and Italy in late October. Will start on the Turkey itinerary very soon... I just visited Dubrovnik, Croatia last month and it was fantastic. We were also in Turkey, and I have to say it was so much more beautifu there than I ever imagined Turkey being.

It is hard to just pick 3. Italy because I love history, food, and architecture.
India-I have been there once but didn't get enough time there. I would love to go back. The food was amazing!
Spain. I don't know why, but I have always wanted to go to Spain.

If I had to pick just three places....hmmmm, I guess it would have to be (in no particular order): Spain - specifically Andalusia. I <3 Flamenco and danced it a little in college. Plus I can speak the language. Australia - I'll risk being eaten by Sharks, stung by Jellyfish, or any number of hazards to dive in the Great Barrier Reef. Peru - Machu Picchu...'nuff said. Thankfully, I don't think I'll have to limit myself to just three. My next big trip will be Las Vegas in April 2011. After that I'm thinking Alaskan Cruise...I blame Nat Geo Wild and the Travel Channel LOL. Now to find someone to keep me warm enroute...

I'm not sure what my top three would be. I'll have to think on it there are a lot of places I'd like to go. One of my three would be Australia or New Zealand.

I took a cruise to Alaska a few years ago. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it. The inner passage and icebergs were so incredibly beautiful and the colors of blue were like nothing I have ever seen before. I took a trip into the mountains on a train it and it was the highlight of my trip.

How long are you going? We hit Istanbul, Cappadocia, Kas, Kucadasi and back to Istanbul. It took us about 3 weeks to do it all and it was an incredible trip
Mich-probably only for a week, maybe 10 days. We found that even 2 weeks away is too much on our trip to Egypt 2 years ago. We live in Germany so at least the flights won't be as long as from the US West Coast/Southwest where we're from.
Ditto for Croatia and Italy.
Some comments on places others have mentioned- Madrid Spain-We just came back from a weekend (over Christmas) Absolutely delightful; much cleaner than I expected, great transportation system, wonderfully walkable, fantastic architecture and best of all No Snow! (Took us a day to dig out the car the morning we left for the airport)
The Cliffs of Mohr-Ireland-Amazing! My mom and I did a bicycle trip throughout western Ireland in 2004-a great way to see the country. Never felt so loved as an American before. Most polite drivers ever, almost embarrassingly so-wouldn't pass us.
Southeast Alaska (aka the Inside Passage). Lovely! Did a combination of kayaking/biking trip with my mom in 2002. I would skip the Cruise boat. Too big for these little towns. The ferries between the towns are beautiful and you can sleep on the longer routes.
