Battle of the Network Stars 2017

I mention 2017 above because this show competition has been brought back from the 70's and 80's. these current shows will show clips from the past shows. during those days or years. I think this show was taken more seriously. however, keeping up with current popular interests of reality shows, scripted reality shows, sports competition, and reality sports competition. I do think this 2017 version of Battle of the Network Stars are actors acting out a part in a sporting competition. don't get me wrong. this show is entertaining as intended. the actors are acting out their part as a comedy and drama in a sporting competition.

currently we are 4 episodes in. I am just wondering if this show will continue for a few years like it did in the past?

Well I hope it continues because I am loving it!!!
And I don't agree with you about them just acting. They are humans and most humans are competitive! I feel they are giving their all.
I am only caught up to last week but do you really think that Josh Henderson needing an IV from Paramedics was acting? Come on Man! LOL

Question: do I think Josh Henderson, the youngest member on the team, who obviously keeps in shape, who didn't trip, fall or stumble, and was smiling throughout most of his run; actually got hurt requiring an IV from paramedics or was he just acting?

Answer: well I noticed he was slowing down towards the finish. {my conspiracy thoughts in full effect - LOL} then I see he 'required' medical attention. so I, at first thought, this could be real? but my conspiracy theory kicked right back into high gear at his win in the obstacle course. LOL

Final answer: No, I do not believe he needed medical attention. acting

Funny! I know, I Know! people can over do things. which he very well could have done during his run. then needed medical attention to recover. then got a second wind, pace himself, and he was good to go to finish the competition.

let's take this to a casino in Vegas. where I have heard that people can place bets on pretty much anything sports related with a camera involved. LOL

we are I think 5 episodes into Battle of the Network Stars. the 6 or next episode is going to be themed something like TV Parents vs TV Kids?

the only name I recognized is Jimmie Walker from Good Times.

so here is my bet: I bet overall, the final winning team, after the Tog-of-War challenge, will be:

here is what I have noticed:
(1) the team that wins overall, at the end. is the team that does not have the high score throughout the event. {example: if blue team has a score of 11 at the Tog-Of-War. Red team has a score of 9 at the Tog-of War. Red team wins Tog-Of-War and the game.}
(2) the team that wins overall, at the end. is the team that is down a few points to make a comeback and win the game. {example: during the game blue team totals scores are 3, 9, 11. Red team total scores are 2, 7, 9. Red team will win the game}
(3) the entire game is close in scoring. kinda like a back and forth thing with one team scores. the other team sores to keep it even. then the other team scores a bit higher. then the other team scores and gets close to even.

it's just that when celebrities play competition. IMHO with current events. they are playing for charities.

Here. what's there motivation? and most of them are so old and out of shape.

this show is pure entertainment and I do get a good laugh. my favorite event is the Kayak event. I laugh every time.

 

also, I noticed that 4 constants are from New Jersey. 2 of the 4 are from my area! I am happy to know that.

I just realized I posted my win count wrong on the last post. I am now 3 for 5 on the teams I am rooting for each week!
Question: Is Erik Estrada's hair real?

I think my biggest beef is how they score the events. All the beginning events that only score 1 point are pretty much meaningless since so far it really doesn't matter who is ahead by the Tug of War since that is 10 points and whoever wins that wins. I know the Obstacle Course is 5 points for men and women but it really hasn't factored in much.

I actually couldn't watch the parents and kids episode. Jimmie Walker is too, far to ugly to look at.

he looks like death itself! no! not like the Grimm Riper! no! not like a Zombie! no! not like the walking dead!

then again yea! the walking dead. his face is horrible. and he is really out of shape and has no business being on a show like this

OMG ZZZZ!!! Lighten up!!! He was actually pretty funny! This is for fun not a beauty contest not the Olympics. Looks are very important to you aren't they? LOL You won't watch Madam Secretary because you think Tea Leoni's lips are too thin even though it is a great show.
I am pissed though because my on demand is missing two episodes of this show. 6 & 8.
So to update I am 4 for 6 on the teams I am rooting for.

OH - right! forgot bout that! I was trying to watch Madam Secretary when it first started. But couldn't cause her lips are so thin! LOL - funny!

I didn't feel and don't feel the same way when she is in the movie Bad Boys.

I do think the best episode of Battle of the Network Stars for me. the most funniest was episode 2 Varity vs Sex Symbols

I finished watching the last one of the season and am proud to say I was 8 of 10 for the teams I rooted for.
Looking forward to seeing it again next summer.
