I don't dispute that Trump Jr is was up to no good.

I just dispute that someone will be convicted of something because of it.

You really think people who first serve their self-interests are suddenly going to stand up and do the right thing? I don't.

Here's what I think is going to happen..Folks are going to do a gut check "Well, if we push for prosecution of a member of the Trump family, what's that going to mean for my political career? Will I still have a job? Will I still be in a position to advocate for my personal needs and wants."

And after the gut check, I think people might decide..Whoa, if I don't side with Trump, that's the end of me. And no one will stand up.

I also don't think after decades of the powerful being in power and being mostly invincible, something will happen to reverse that trend.

I've lost my faith in my elected officials and/or people in power to do the right thing. I don't expect them to start now.

I've lost faith in most people, actually, to do the right thing and make decisions that just didn't benefit them.

If we didn't live a "I've got mine, I don't give a shit about you." world, I'd feel differently.

But the truth is, the prevailing attitude is going to win.

I have very little faith that Trump will get impeached.  But I do think he is going to have a hard time winning a second term, if he decides to run again.
