MSNBC and CNN might just take pity on the poor man!
Last week he got of AirForce1 and kept on walking on the tarmac away from the limo. He started wandering on stage somewhere in Poland confusing the Secret Service guys.
It is clear proof that the man might have some deeper mental issues that could be related to his age, something like say...he's senile or about!

In such case people tend to be more attentive and sometimes even comforting regardless of the past!

He might have been scorched a couple of times, but a few days later we realize their actually is no "no" there.

However, a large portion of people will believe that there is something there, no matter what happens in the investigation - just as a large portion of people believe Hillary was doing whatever, even though several investigations didn't prove anything.

The fact is, Congress sucks ass at investigations and they really are useless wastes of time.

uhn, Comey said he thought Hillary did actually violate the law....just that he thought Hillary didn't have "intent", so they didnt move foreard with any charges.

And many people believe she had intent. And often you can prove that. Many, many, many people believe that Hillary's misdeeds were intentional, and always will. Many, many, many people will always believe that DT colluded with the Russians, no matter what the investigation reveals. So CNN and other news won't have to eat crow.

I read the transcripts, and he does talk a lot about intent and her carelessness, and because of lack of intent there is no crime. I guess you can kind of read it either way.

Yes, Republicans losing control of Congress will help a lot. But (a) if someone is thinking we will find a smoking gun and Trump will duck out immediately, that gives Pence more than a year to do some damage. And (b) democrats don't traditionally do well in years that don't also have a presidential election, nor are they making a really good play right now. They are just coming across and whiney and combative. The only chance we really have is if people who vote are more pissed off at whatever Republicans do this year than they are at whatever democrats say they are going to do. Winning is not a given, although a lot of dems seem like they think it is.

We will have to see what evidence surfaces. It will have to be super damn ing and super clear cut, otherwise Trump will (or at least think he can) talk his way around it.

My biggest fear is a sudden fatal medical event. Not that I am commenting on his health or anything, but it wouldn't be unheard of for a 71 year old man in a stressful situation to have a heart attack or stroke, and then, booyah, we wake up tomorrow with a self righteous alter boy on steroids as our leader. I've been scanning headlines. Not much time to read things in depth.

But, I also would be surprised if something damning comes from all of this. And I wouldn't be surprised if it's rug swept.

Like it or not, we live in a time when people in powerful positions think they are above the law and can do whatever they want. And generally, unless it's something major with pretty indisputable evidence that isn't open to interpretation..., they can and do get away with whatever they want.

Because that's just the kind of world we live in right now.

I don't for one second believe that just because Trump's sound bite  he's draining the swamp doesn't mean he's holding himself to a higher standard. He's still part of it. People were just too dumb to fall for his words.
