I'm going with the most American of dishes, a calzone. EXGF is at a barbecue, the kids are at friends, and I'm trying to clear out some leftovers from the fridge.

I made scrambled eggs for DD1 this morning before she did a neighborhood run.
Lunch was courtesy of the neighborhood 4th of July event. Super cheap, too. 5 of us ate for $15.
Dinner was leftovers, for a night of relaxing. We planned it that way, since Wednesday-Thursday is really rough for us.
DS was amused we were eating Mexican on the 4th of July.

I went to the Safeway last night and discovered a nice porterhouse steak in the manager's special bin. I had half of that with mashed potatoes and green beans. I'm going to have a small piece of the little chocolate cake I got as a holiday treat in about 10 minutes.
Yum.

Oh I should hit up the managers special bin in the next few days. Since Safeway had those steak sales over the last week.

Since rain was in the forecast for today (it still hasn't arrived), we fired up the grill yesterday. Tonight I made taco salad, with watermelon for dessert. (A surprisingly good combination.)

PBJ for the kids, we scrounged. We did go to the pool though. That was nice.

everything we had yesterday was cold, since we aren't grilling on a boat. well, everything except the 3lbs of chicken wings I picked up when we came back to the dock to swap out day/night passengers.
2lbs of veggie-loaded pasta salad in an Italian vinaigrette fruit salad - 1/2 each of cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon, plus an appropriate ratio of blue/strawberries, kiwi, cherries and red grapes. build your own cold sliders - deli ham, turkey, cranberry walnut chicken salad, and cheeses. there were wraps, too. chips and salsa/guacamole/strawberry pico de gallo cheese and crackers veggie platter with various dressings to choose from
other than the bar, I think that's it?
