Megyn Kelly interview of Putin

Was even more of a letdown than Rachel Maddow's release of Trump's tax return.
Did Kelly ever think Putin would admit to anything?
Especially when she asked him about dead politicans and news reporters in Russia.

It did not live up to NBC's hype.
Kelly was just a so so moderator, and treated him with much more respect than she ever treated Trump.
Of course, she does want to make it out of Russia alive.

She talked about the photo of Putin and Flynn in Russia at a banquet that has been shown thousands of times on American television . Putin claims he did not even know who Flynn was until he was told afterwards that he was an important former military intel person.
And not a follow up question to Putin about it.

You all are surprised that Putin is a better liar then Trump? He's a former KGB operative. He has no reason to tell us what he knows and will let us self destruct. He has forcefully taken back former Soviet countries without fear of NATO or anyone stopping him. Does history repeat itself? Think Hitler. He was in power before Trump and will be after Trump. BTW it was just a part of the show.

And yet NBC had advertisements promoting the event. I imagine most expected a little more out of it.
I did expect Kelly to be a hard hitting interviewer, but the questions were lame, with little follow up.

Now we can say for certain they bought Kelly with a big payday just to hurt Fox News, and not because she would do for them what she did for the Fox network

So, how were the ratings for this?   It seems like Megyn Kelly thinks she is the news now.  However, I don't think that is the case.   I guess that remains to be seen.

Actually the things I read was Megan took a pay CUT to join NBC (Fox was offering more money) but Megyn wanted more flexibility and time with her kidlins which NBC accommodated better apparently.

As far as interview expectations, I don't think anyone expected any bombshells. It's just to get Putin on the record.
