Hi, I'm doing a two day Wanderlust tour in my plane with a buddy in June. I'd like to document and share some of the cool and goofy things we might see hitting a dozen little airports around WA and OR. Does anyone have an iPhone app or something that makes it really easy to snap pictures, take a few notes and then somehow share out (like on facebook?) I suppose I could just do a series of FB posts, but i hate FB and would like to share my journey in vehicles besides that. thx! Check with Bonny. I believe last year, she may have posted some real-time pictures of her hike on the Pacific Crest trail.

I believe last year, she may have posted some real-time pictures of her hike on the Pacific Crest trail. Naw, I'm not that tech savvy. What I had was a DeLorme satellite communicator that had a feature which allowed real time tracking of my progress on the John Muir Trail. So I was sending out a group e-mail (and I think there was an option to update my facebook page as well) alerting folks when I was starting and stopping my hike each day. You could see real time tracking on the satellite photographs. It was pretty cool and couple of people were quite compulsive about checking it.
I had a hard time why some people cared so much other than my husband who was going to meet me at the halfway and end points.
Of course I left the communicator in my pack when I dumped it at the Mt. Whitney trail junction. So there's no proof that I actually climbed it.

doing a little research on Instagram, looks like people can only see the stuff with their mobile app. i don't want to force my users to use an app/get a login for a service. It looks like their might be some iPhone apps. if nothing else, i'll use onenote and just export it to HTML so that anyone on any device can see it. I'm on instagram, but don't really do, IG, if you KWIM. There are a couple celebrities that I check out on there through Google--never signing in. Don't know if that's possible for normal people or not--never tried. You can link it to Facebook, if you want, as FB owns it. That's about all I know, hence the ? & Good luck and hope you have lots of fun, whatever you choose.

Create a YouTube channel and post your videos there?

Create a YouTube channel and post your videos there? that could work! If possible, don't use your real name though in creating the YouTube account. That way, say, if you wanted and directed posters here to see the videos on YouTube, they won't know your true identity.

I use blogger.com, which isn't all that instant (just finished my blog about my Central America trip and I got home 4/25) but it's pretty intuitive and it lets you give people a link, which anyone can access without setting up an account somewhere. I do post on FB during my trip, but I add many more pictures to the blog and people not on FB can enjoy them.
