Now that everyone here on the liberal side has declared Trump a warmonger, can we drop the delusion he is in bed with Putin and the Russians?
D.C. is barely talking over this issue today. Falling over their selves to praise him for the missle launch, or going the Impeachment route over something the last three Presidents have done without consequence.

Phoning the Russians in advance is as good as phoning Assad.

Phoning the Russians in advance is as good as phoning Assad. That's a fair minded comment

Phoning the Russians in advance is as good as phoning Assad. I think everyone on both sides of the political aisle can agree killing Russian military personnel in a foreign country is a no win situation. There is no upside. Warning the Russians was fine with me. If they told the Syrians to move out, that is okay. You do not move the runways and that was the objective. No runways, no flying missions from there. Message sent and received. We are back in the game with the first team rather than the scrubs, strategically speaking.

It seemed inevitable that Putin and Trump would clash. Okay.... Because he was in bed with Putin, or because he never was in bed with Putin?

Britney Spears was married to Jason Alexander for 55 hours.
Some relationships don't last long. Applies to trump and Putin too.

Because they both have egos and individual agendas. It was contradictory to call Trump a narcissistic egoist and think he would blindly follow someone else forever. But Anne, they are BFF. and besides, Trump committed treason with Russia. Fact. Russia has that over Trump too. I mean, either way we know the treason conviction will eventually come, but Russia could speed it up. So they have that over Trump too. And there is the "file" when Trump went to Russia and the hooker and urine thing as blackmail. So there's that too. I still think this is all choreographed, like wrestling, and part of the "long con" game that Trump and his bestie Putin are playing

Value Buy - just FYI they are waiting for the liberal talking points on this subject. It takes a while for that to filter through the hive mind.

He is a billionaire===or maybe just a lousy millionaire. The horror! He is a flipflopper. If his lips move, he is lieing. He is the Tin man with no heart. He will never run for the Presidency He will never win the nomination. He will never win the Presidency. He stole the election. Hell, he was the person most surprised he won that night As President, it looks like his word is his bond. Elections have consequences. He does not accept the fact Congress can waste months with no action on bills that should be finished in a week We have a person in charge who will not accept defeat. He will drain the Swamp that is DC politics. He will make America great again, and bring the minority groups in America along for the uplifting good times ahead for this country. Eventually, he will even get Weltz, dj, and Dezi and a few others, to say something nice about his Presidential leadership (I can dream a little bit here on that one)

Am I the only one that feels like Trump planned with Putin for this to happen. He wanted to stop the rumors as Putin probably did too. I'm sure they had a chat about it and all is good in the "hood" for both of them. Wouldn't be surprised if Trump did some of this just to get the Trump and Putin rumors off his back and be all "SEE nothing to hide!"
I don't believe this proves that Trump doesn't have ties with Putin.

People are pleased with the strike for now....but the other side haven't had their say yet It might be OK if he gets away with it...doesn't make a habit of it...... and the other side takes it lying down but those are all variables.
Where is this going? Is it a foot on a slippery slope?
The US are in no position to win anything in Syria. So lets have a reality check.
My guess is that Assad will barrel bomb idlib and kill far more people. Conventional weapons but far more deadly. They'll do what they want in their own Country.... and they are winning.
Syria is a client state for Russia and Putin will back them all the way. Whatever it takes.

If the Russians don't leak Trump's videos after this incident, we can safely assume they do not exist.

Trump warning the Russians about the strike doesn't make me think he's totally against Russia. I don't know how involved he is with Russia. Or how involved some of his staff are or were. That's for an investigation to find out.
On the whole, I think this wasn't that effective or smart. Several articles report the airstrip was back in use within 48 hours. Nor do I understand what Trump hoped to gain by the bombing. There have been genocides that have happened that we as the US have done nothing about. This usually happens in Africa which apparently isn't important enough to the US for us to do anything. So I don't buy a humanitarian reason behind this, especially since Trump seems to be missing empathy in general, so it makes sadly sense this was done as a deflection not as a real choice to make a positive difference.
And anyone thinking this action suddenly makes Russia a non-issue, should never be involved in police or detective work. There needs to be proof. People do things against their spouse's and friend's wishes all the time. I do not understand why anyone would think it would be any different between Trump and Putin.

mmmm, i think filling in a few holes and resurfacing runways will take about 72 hours max,a slap on the wrist for gassing kids imo.

? Trump defends decision not to hit runway on Syrian air baseFollowing reports that two Syrian jets took off from the airfield hit by U.S. missiles Thursday night, President Trump defended his decision not to strike the runway. "The reason you don't generally hit runways is that they are easy and inexpensive to quickly fix (fill in and top)!" the commander-in-chief tweeted. According to one U.S. official, initial assessments indicate that up to 20 Syrian aircraft were destroyed after the U.S. hit Syria's al Shayrat air base with more than 50 Tomahawk cruise missiles Thursday. However, the runway -- as well as storage areas suspected to contain chemical weapons -- remained untouched. Trump defends decision not to hit runway on Syrian air base

So was the storage area avoided by plan or was it part of the over 50% of missiles that missed their target?
