Who do you favor to win?

Many good choices this year.
I am hoping Jordan Spieth pulls it off, but after his collapse last year, that might be a hard one to pull off.

I really do not have a dark horse candidate to come out of the pack on Sunday to pull it off, and it is certainly hard for a dark horse candidate to lead the last two days in a row.
This is by far my favorite golf tourney. I think because I always watched it when I was a child with my father who never watched golf other than the Masters, or even played it until after he turned 64.

I'm rooting for Spieth also. Mickelson is my favorite but he's hurting badly.  Dustin Johnson might not even play due to a recent back injury. That's opens up all kinds of possibilities for the others because he was a favorite to win.

I sort of wonder if Rory has a good day on Thursday, if it is his tourney to win this year. Sometimes he comes off slow Thursday and Friday, and then is a terror on Saturday and Sunday.

Bubba is another dark horse, and he has won twice here. Some lefties do very well on this course.

I see the golfers are in sweaters, jackets and even ski caps this morning. I imagine the early tee times might struggle with conditions for the front nine.

He has been hot lately. Might be his to win this week.

Dustin Johnson was waiting on the first tee, for his tee off and decided not to play.
I did not see him even wish his partners good luck. He might have already done it before the cameras caught him leaving, idnk
Saw the caddies right there, and he walked back to the club house, and pulled out of the tourney.

Charlie Hoffman played a heck of a game yesterday to lead the field.
Today, Sergio Garcia has birdied the first three holes of play to go four under, four behind Hoffman.

Hoffman back at minus four for the tourney. Sergio fell to a minus one for the tourney.
I think the leaderboard at the end of the day is going to favor the top golfers of the world tightly packed together going into Saturday.
Anyone making a good run seems to stumble a few holes afterward, everyone playing around minus two for two days.

Thanks Ken, but more of a updated report of what's happening.
Bubba Watson and Zack Johnson are out as they did not make the cut yesterday. Several good players are also out.
Willett, last year's winner also went home.

Four golfers are tied for the lead at four under going into today's round, considered moving day at the Masters.
Spieth is even after two rounds. Wonder if he makes a move today.
Weather looks great for the next two days, wind much easier today.

Between the NCAA Finals and now this, it is nice not to focus totally on politics and war around the world constantly   Opening baseball would fit the bill for me, but still in Florida so I do not get the constant updates on White Sox or Cubs all the time.

Jason Day had a terrible day yesterday and is plus six going into today.
Rory Mcilroy had a decent day and is even.
I think both of these guys might make a move, although Day is in trouble if any of the better than even players make a run today.
Phil Mickelson should be interesting today. He could have been much better than yesterday's performance. Par was hard for him to achieve......Bogeys and birdies all over the card......

I don't know diddly about golf but I know a very proud blonde senior that is getting pretty good at it! Or, I should say he should be prety good at it since he's been practicing 15 out of the 16 weekends on some prime golf courses!

Trump has to play a lot to keep his game up.
As one ages, it takes more practice to keep the game solid!

Anyhow.....Phil pretty much cratered, another old guy.........while Spieth put himself two off the lead going into today's final round.
The first page of the leader board is a who's who of golf's best performers (excluding Jason Day, who is plus three) and is anyone's game to win today.
Justin Rose, if he on game today, might be tough to beat, although Spieth might just be able to beat him.
Anyone think Hoffman can make a come back?

The greens might get pretty dry late this afternoon, making approach shots even more important.
