She is almost a full fledged adult. I say, let her stay, issue a green card. She really knows nothing other than America--I am assuming they did not go back to visit the homeland, as never mentioned. Deport the parents.

I think all illegal aliens should be deported. As for issuing this woman a green card, I do not approve of rewarding her parents' crime.
She is in a difficult situation, but has only her parents to blame for it.

I wonder where her parents are.
Maybe the 'dreamer' kids should be allowed to stay on condition they join the military/full time student/full time employment ........... and deport their parents.
I've often wondered why the parents haven't been picked up and deported.

We are really hoping the Dreamers will be allowed to stay. Many of them have no family left in Mexico.
We don't send the children of drug dealers and other criminals to jail with them. The children are not responsible for the decisions their parents made. Many of the parents that made that decision were making the same decision other friends and family members made years before, and they eventually got their permanent residency status.
Maybe because they quietly go to work, come home maintain their property in a nice manner and are otherwise good people, they are by and large not the type of people that law enforcement needs to be involved with.

bean29 ........ quietly go to work,
Where do they get their SS#? If they don't have a SS#, that means they are being paid in cash and not pay taxes. Or they are collecting welfare benefits. As much as a lot of people say they are 'undocumented', they are actually I L L E G A L.
Coming here, staying beyond the visa, getting a fictional SS# is against the law.
I stand by my statement ........ let the dreamers stay under certain conditions and send the parents home.

If it's someone who originally came in with a valid visa, they can get a SS#: SS # and Visa. It surprises me that there is not communication that the Visa has expired and there are taxes being paid, though. That should be an easier way to track down those who have overstayed their visas.

Her parents brought her here on a tourist visa which they overstayed.
Can someone on a tourist visa get a valid SS#?
Undocumented is still spelled I L L E G A L

Maybe the 'dreamer' kids should be allowed to stay on condition they join the military/full time student/full time employment ........... Is thee any reason to believe that most of them don't? Should we ask the same of our proudly born and raised American youth? Are they any different? Are those born and raised here less dreaming about their future and what it holds just because of the privilege of being born Americans?

I don't know if I want anyone joining military by force and not by choice.
I don't see a problem with letting "children" stay if they come forward once they become legal adults and haven't committed any crimes. They can apply for citizenship and wait their turn.
But, if once an adult, they continue living here illegally, then they, themselves, are now committing a crime. Why should they be allowed to stay?

Or they could be running a drug factory outlet in the inner city......or as I saw on the news yesterday a pair of Doctors (husband and wife) doctors originally from India who are running afoul of immigration laws after years of legal residence here. It works both ways, so do not assume her parents and all parents of dreamers are squeaky clean. And for the parents, of dreamers of illegal aliens, it does not matter. They are in violation of the law.

I read we are the only country on earth that never checks when people are supposed to leave. Every country my husband worked in you better not overstay, they checked and you were in big trouble if you did.
I don't know what the answer is, it should have never been allowed to go on this long. But big business wants cheap labor and lot of it.
