I try to think of something exciting each year to do on vacation. I kind of think of my vacation as part of my bucket list. A couple of years ago it was SCUBA diving - I absolutely loved it. Last year it was Whitewater Rafting - great fun. This year I would like to go zip lining. I haven't looked into it yet but I am sure that there will be an opportunity when I go to the Grand Canyon. It is cool to experience new and exciting things.
For the last several years I have considered learning to play the violin also. Perhaps this year I will finally take it from the "to do list" to the "done list".

I went ziplining in the Smokies last year. It was pretty awesome. MU the close calls are exactly why my brother and his friends don't ride their bikes up here. These people drive like comlete morons. I've been cleaning up some odds and ends in the past few days. I guess you could say I'm trying to get back into just doing things in 2011. I used to be a just do it and get it done type of person and then I dated someone who was pretty dang lazy. I finally got my cpa this year and I'm looking forward to accomplishing other things in the new year. Yeah I can be kinda high strung and have a hundred things going on at one time but I liked it that way better. So to heck with whoever doesn't like it.

Cheesy, even after Beethoven was completely deaf, he continued to compose. I say do it. J, if you do the bike thing, please please please take the motorcycle safety course before you set out. In some states, you can't even get a motorcycle endorsement on your license without completing the class (um...that would be successfully completing the class). The biggest danger you will ever face is the people in cars who look over, under, around, through you. Please just be careful. I'll bet that the vast majority of bikers who are hurt/killed were not at fault in a car/bike incident. Ride to live. The biggest risk I ever took was going to live and work in Germany. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the world. But I wouldn't do it again for any amount of money My biggest regret is that I gave up dance. I wanted to be a hoofer (no, MU, not a hooker! a hoofer) but I just didn't believe that I would ever be good enough. Add to that the fact that in my late teens/early 20s my feet started going flat I've always wondered if I could have done it, even if just for a year or so. Anybody ever notice that dancers walk funny? I was called "Slabfoot" starting long before I even went to kindergarten and long after I stopped dancing ETA: The other thing that I didn't do and wish I had is finish school, just so that I could say I did. Heck, maybe I'd even have finally learned to "do" numbers. one...two... Now I could go tuition-free but can't afford the fees and books.

There's a bunch of things I'd like to do. Number one would be driving on the Autobahn. I'd also like to learn how to fly and scuba dive. Part of me wants to try sky-diving however another part worries about the landing aspect.

That's how I'm planning on learning and getting the license.

Are you all nuts and trying to kill yourselves?! <<sets feet firmly on the ground>> ;p No. Trying to kill myself would be whatever they call the small jumps with parachutes - satellite jumps? That's much riskier, number one parachute opens or you hit the ground without it.
