I thought the U.S. had a plan and do the wargame thesis every once and awhile already.
But, I think it interesting the Democrats are this nervous about the Russians all of a sudden.

But this article caught me a bit flat footed when I read it.  I assume he is talking about the Russians using "tactical" nukes on the battlefield, although I don't know.  And while we both have them, both the Russians and the United States (I believe) have pledged no first use.  Certainly any use of nuclear weaponry is frightening, and potentially civilization ending.  The particular nit with tactical nukes is that they could be potentially contained, but of course their use would be reckless beyond compare.

First, I wish all would get off the idea that if someone anywhere/anytime who self identifies as a Republican or Democrat says, "...", that it be taken as an official policy statement of either party. I feel like I see it done more to statement by those identifying as Republicans but this is one example of it done the other way. Moulton isn't even the Ranking Member of the Armed Forces Committee. He is not "the Democrats".

Second, I read the link that it is a specific type of use of nuclear weaponry usage that he is concerned about and I don't follow the details of the plans and war games so have no idea if there is adequate preparation for this specific situation.

The implication that this is not the broader thesis of the UniParty in Washington by making the distinction that it was "just a little 'ol Congressman" is dishonest. Plenty of people are feigning concern over the bear in the woods these days.
