How odd Russia is only bringing this up now when they could have brought it up months ago.

How odd Russia is only bringing this up now when they could have brought it up months ago. I agree, but they have now brought it up, unless The Hill is posting some garbage I believe many countries try to grease both sides before the election to hedge their bets on who will actually win. That said, why didn't Hillary's team come out and say, hey we had some communication with them too? Maybe they were discussing the amount of money that had to go to the Clinton Foundation after she won the election? Or how much had to go in BEFORE she was elected?

Would Pelosi and Shumer being saying, "nothing to see here, move along"? Remember the Clinton Foundation and pay offs to it for meetings, etc.

My first and only thought about this is what Russion sanctions Trump promised to lift if the Russians said they met with Clinton's people.
Trump lies about so many things that he and his counselors/handlers/psych ward attendants have lost all credibility.

Considering how many hearings we had to have over emails and Bengahzi I imagine that if it had been brought to attention Hillary had talked to the Russians her political enemies would have been all over it like white on rice.
As of right now, why say anything?
I am skeptical about all the talk concerning Trump but that being said he is the one who gave his political enemies fodder to create an alleged witch hunt. He openly on national television announced that he would welcome Russia hacking into our servers in order to discredit his opponent.
I'm sure that the powers that be that control our servers know that China, Russia, N Korea, etc are trying to hack servers in the country on a pretty regular basis. It would not have taken much effort to find "proof" that Russia was rigging the election in Trump's favor and he/his people had something to do with it.
That's where his inexperience comes in. Hillary is an experienced politician and knows it serves her/the party to stay quiet.
To me the best thing for Trump would be to welcome a full investigation and get it over with. But again his inexperience comes in to play here as he fights/denies after he stood on national TV saying that Hillary must have something to hide despite 8-9 investigations otherwise they would have found something.
All this makes for great reality TV drama, but in politics he's managed to spill his blood in the water. Now the sharks are circling.

why is this an issue? She's not the president. If she won, maybe it would be an issue.

I think the sheer number of connections between Trump's campaign and Russia is a vastly different story than anything between Hillary's campaign and Russia. I don't think the fact that there was a meeting with an ambassador is that much of an abnormality, just the fact that they tried to hide it. Did we have people on Hillary's staff lobbying without registering, lying under oath, traveling to Russia to give speeches etc, etc. Hillary also disclosed her Tax Returns, something Trump is still refusing to do.

why is this an issue? She's not the president. If she won, maybe it would be an issue. Okay, no issue.......but what if her peeps met with the Russians, communicated with them electronically and the Russians got into her strategy that way rather than from the Trump camp? Maybe we need further investigation of the Clinton campaign to find the answer. I wonder if they were in contact, why there were no federal leaks describing their talks? If the government was tapping the Russians and got into Trump's camp, how did they not record the Clinton talks? Because the powers at be are going for a coup right now.

I just wanna know when they are going to impeach Trump for peeing on a Russian hooker? (Or did the hooker pee on him?). I think that's the one accusation in regards to Trump & Russia that has the most proof......

It is nice to see- 40 years after Reagan dragged them kicking and screaming from "Detente" to Victory in the cold war- that the Democrats have developed concern about the Russians.

It's bad news when it's acceptable or "so what, they didn't win" for EITHER SIDE. If there is a problem it's a problem no matter which side they are on and no matter whether they won or lost.

Did she deny meeting with them? Did her staff deny meeting with them? Would her (probable) Cabinet nominations make wierd comments during their hearings that could be interpreted in the worst possible light by the opposition? I'm assuming they wouldn't have been that damn stupid because they all understand how this works. It's not really comparable to board room and CEO stuff, in my opinion.

Yes, and it is not unusual. What IS unusual is that the Russians actively worked for the election of Donald Trump, released information beneficial to that cause, and also met with many Trump campaign people. Did they collude with the Russians in any way? That is still a very different situation. Oh, come on. There's ZERO evidence this is true- as in zip, zero, nada. No one even seriously suspects this is true. Trump campaign never met with the Russians for the purpose of strategy as you imply. Wikileaks has made it VERY clear that the Russians had NOTHING to do with the damaging leaks. In fact, we know EXACTLY how Podesta's emails went public- he wasn't even hacked. Podesta fell for a phishing email and gave away his email account. And we STILL do not have the subpoena'd Hillary emails- 30,000 + emails she was required to turn over by law, but instead deleted.
