Is anyone getting a pop up ad over the website? I have never had that happen here before and it is trying to redirect me. I am not sure how to eliminate that. Any suggestions to block it? Or is anyone else having that issue?

It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

What is the popu-up ad for, Shoobs? It's not coming from ProBoards as they don't allow pop-ups so it's probably coming from something on your computer. Personally, I use MalwareBytes anti-malware (paid version - there is a free version) to keep malware off my computer and it's served me very well. You can download either the free or the paid version HERE.

You can also use the ad reporting tool, just in case something got by PB. There is a link at the bottom of the page.

You've installed something in your browser you shouldn't have, possibly while installing other software.
Go into your settings and disable any plugins/extensions whose purpose you aren't 100% certain of. If that doesn't fix the problem, uninstall and reinstall your browser.
You have to be careful with software installations these days. Many apps, including legitimate mainstream apps, will try to sneak third party "crapware" onto your machine if you don't explicitly opt out during the installation process. Malware suites won't help since the crapware is legitimate software.
