Sorry Iggy.
I've been in my condo about a month. This weekend there was a sewer backup that caused some neighbors' -- and my -- downstairs toilet to overflow. Before I realized it was more widespread I spent a lot of time plunging the toilet, and finally decided to head to Lowe's to get a plunger for a high efficiency toilet. When I got to the garage, I discovered a significant leak from the sewer cleanout cap. One thing led to another, the sewer cap blew entirely, and I have a biohazardous mess in my garage. Since it was a widespread problem, the HOA sent someone out immediately at weekend prices, and is covering all the cleanup and remediation costs. Yay for that, at least!
Now I can't use my garage (heater/blowers in there) and my downstairs hall is blocked by plastic sheeting with another heater/blower running full speed. I can't use the A/C because it has to stay off while things dry, and there's a heat wave going on here. Can't use the garage because of the heater/blower.
So I'm letting the pros handle everything. I'm spending a lot of time at work because work is more pleasant than home right now. And I'm leaving tomorrow on a weekend trip.

seriousthistime, ugh, sorry for you, too. Anything related to sewer is so disgusting. Since we don't have water, we have to manually flush our toilets. Let's just say it was an unpleasant morning and I, too, am glad to be here at work. Have a fantastic weekend.
