Remember when liberals here kept telling us the illegals were self deporting back to Mexico? Wonder what happened with that? I guess whoever wanted to self deport did, because the ones left here are all screaming bloody murder over deportation Let's get a long term leasing agreement in place with Greyhound bus and get busy!

I personally know 2 people that self deported, stayed in Mexico about 10 months then came back legally. They have rejoined their families, have legal good jobs and on the path to citizenship ump-teen thumbs up for them

I was under impression it's a very long process to get visas and such...

It all depends on the category of the visa. CA and MX have treaties under the NAFTA that allow them different visas than the H1B that is used by tech workers whose category opens up only once a year.
In all cases, you will need to show that you have valid employment and can fund your stay in the US.

I think both of them went through immigration attorneys.
Both had valid employment offers and places to live.
