VB...I'm asking you the following favor because I believe you are reasonable. So...if anyone needs to jump in there with "why didn't you say something to so-and-so", well, the answer is in the first sentence.
This type of stuff isn't helpful. It doesn't lead to one single word of constructive discussion. The only thing this accomplishes is to upset people, getting them to go at each other's throats. Plus, you have a stalker who can't wait to jump on stuff like this. If your purpose is to upset people and sit back and watch them go at each other's throats, I guess mission accomplished. If your purpose is to provoke thoughtful conversation, it isn't working. The article is informative - but the stuff about "depressed posters" ruins it.
If the former reason is the reason why you post this negative stuff, just let me know so I can stop clicking on these threads. I hate to do that because I find some of the things you post to be insightful and informative, but I'm so tired of this crap pitting one against the other that I'm almost ready to just use the X permanently. I already don't click on about half the threads started because I know they are stupid whining shit. Pretty soon, I'm not going to have anything to read. My problem. I know that.
And before all you hypocrites who do the same thing start to chime in with "yeah", you are just as bad and, in most cases, worse. There's nothing quite as laughable as a person who is completely unable to see in themselves the thing they profess to hate so much in others.

I've often thought I could live as an expat in a number of places. One disadvantage is that you pay double taxes: income taxes to the US and taxes to the country of residence.
But I'm not inclined to move and allow conservatives to take over.... DH isn't wild about the idea either.
So, nope. not going anywhere. Our local Rep is holding a town hall next week. We are going.

Yes, I am not going anywhere either. Lots of places to visit, but home is where the heart is. Heck it is even hard to visualize moving out of state for me. Here is another really small article on a guy who chose Costa Rica www.msn.com/en-us/money/realestate/we-moved-from-new-jersey-to-a-villa-in-costa-rica-and-pay-only-dollar400-a-month/ar-AAnaZZ7Like I say, great place to visit, but move there ?
