President Trump had an excellent jobs report for January, which is enthusing the stock markets. The President is busy making America greater again! Some here will say, it was on President Obama's watch, but I bet most jobs were created after the swearing in ceremony This President is HUUGGEE!

The poster Rukh has a link in a similar thread here and it states the Labor department conducted it's survey of jobs during the second week of January. So no January credit to Trump.

The latter. For the former, Trump will use Kellyanne Conway to explain it all in alternative facts fashion.

And if there is golf involved, I'm in. Just dont' stand on the left side of the fairway. I'm having a slight duck hook issue.

You know, after business realized they had a President coming into office who will make America great again! So....it is to President Trump's credit everyone is now hiring like crazy. We are about to start hiring all the special snowflake people who were un-hirable under President Obama's regime. Just think what this will do to Social Security fund and Medicare fund! It will be HUUGGEE!

I think everyone should be watching these White House business meetings. Today we saw a virtual who's who's of business people, and they look enthused. This certainly looks good for the country. The manufacturing in the U.S. will be coming back due to tax rate changes, and a government that will no longer burden it's business community with regulations other countries do not have to follow. President Trump has had more meetings with business executives in two weeks than President Obama did in his first two months in office. Remember when Obama entered office? Business was falling over a cliff. All that was offered was feel good meetings with Reverend Al Sharpton, and community groups who cannot accomplish anything......

We are still working off of eight years of it is Bush's fault I guess I should change this comment. Since Trump was elected President, not one member has said anything derogatory about Bush. He is now a footnote to history with the liberals here. Not sure if dj might have posted something bad about Bush, but if he did, no one bothered reflecting on it

I was set to give back a snarky retort and we could go back and forth , boring readers until a moderator stepped in and you, me or both of us...so just stepped back and did a bit of googling..thank the good lord for the "google" ranks right up there with New Haven style..[Peppies or Modern preferred] Pizza. The Donald today was ranting a bit on how the low unemployment rates wearn't really the true figure....so many who gave up looking for work and in a way he is correct...except, and again, he leaves out the fact that that has always been the case on those figures...also the facts in those bnot looking for work any longer is the fact that so many baby boomers are retiring..some doing part time work if it makes financial sense and if u took the real amount of those not looking for work but should be, the unemployment rate would only go up a bit...something like 5.2%...not bad, not bad at all..[ That was Obamas peoples figures..the artickles author did his own figurung...came up a bit higher..5.8%..still not bad, not bad at all] fivethirtyeight.com/features/what-is-the-real-unemployment-rate/-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Obamas people spin on unemployment figures.. The White House, in its report, estimates that the combination of demographics (“aging trends” in the chart below) and other long-term trends (“residual”) together account for the vast majority of the decline in labor force participation since 2009. Only the small sliver in the middle of the chart is due to the state of the economy. In the Obama administration’s estimation, there are about half a million Americans who should be in the labor force but aren’t. If they were counted as unemployed, the jobless rate would be about 5.2 percent, only a few ticks higher than the official rate. =========================================== Authors spin on unemployment figures.. casselman-irt-0226 The White House, of course, has an incentive to make the economy look as good as possible. So as a check on their number, I built my own simple model (an updated version of the one I used in this story a few years ago) to estimate how many people are still missing from the official unemployment rate. (I’ll put the details in a footnote,1 but essentially I just assumed that prerecession trends held steady.) My model estimates there are as many as 1.5 million people who should be included in the unemployment rate. That’s triple the White House’s estimate, but it still implies the “real” unemployment rate is down to 5.8 percent.

Don't you realize he is the person behind the curtain yet? I think you are absolutely correct. If Pence didn't get sidetracked by his desire for a theocracy he would be even more of a force.
