Hiya, not sure if this is the right sub-forum for this or not as I thought to put this in general, but I forgot to mention about this shortly after when I first came here.
The reason I found my way here is because I was searching for the right place or forum to find people to talk to regarding some concerns that I have when Donald Trump was illegitimately elected as President of the United States, and this forum came up while doing a Google search for relevant Anti-Trump discussion to my needs since I'm not comfortable with what is going on with the current administration and had voted all Democrats at the polls back in November. Much of the reason I felt concerned is because my only income is SSD due to having disabilities, and also have medicare as well as SNAP Benefits as well. If I were to lose this income, I would be in major trouble since I use it to pay utility bills and internet as well as for groceries.
I became concerned while I was following discussions on the Social Security Works page on Facebook and saw messages saying that Donald Trump and Mike Pence along with a number of republicans wanting to cut Social Security and Medicare while Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine wanting to protect and strengthen Social Security. Naturally, that was plenty for me to go with a Democratic vote during the election and voted all Democrats. It was when I found out about Donald Trump getting enough electoral collage votes to win the election that I ended up becoming concerned as well as finding out stuff about the election being illegitimate due to the possibility of Russian hacking and interference in the election, the case of Hillary's missing e-mails and private e-mail server being reopened by the FBI for no apparent reason, and the crosscheck purge voter oppression.
Shortly afterward, I found a number of Anti-Trump groups that had sprang up on Facebook and ended up joining many of them to get various information for my concerns including petitions. That resulted in me getting the links to a lot of the petitions and creating a page to list them in alphabetical order, which I have a tab linking to that page on my own forum. I haven't linked that page here because it seemed it wasn't allowed due to a no petitions rule in the CoC here, and haven't put a banner image link to my forum in my signature either as I'm not sure if that is allowed either. If you want to discuss with me further on this stuff or may have some ideas that could be of help to me to reassure me on stuff or something, please let me know, ty.

Eril Mouse, I think your concerns are well founded. (I have similar concerns for my disabled granddaughter). This election seems to have brought out the most callous and least compasionate qualities in too many people. Especially those who claim to be "Christian"
You are doing the right things: stay informed, be activist when you can, create and nuture a support system. Know that you are far from alone. Most of all, care for yourself. Step away from the news and internet when it gets to be too much.

Welcome aboard!
You'll find we don't all agree on the political threads, but the tone is usually respectful.
(BTW, I've got a kid with special needs, so I have serious concerns about the plans of the new administration, too. And, I have a huge problem with spending big money on a wall, while gutting programs that people need to survive.)

This election seems to have brought out the most callous and least compassionate qualities in too many people. Especially those who claim to be "Christian" You are doing the right things: stay informed, be activist when you can, create and nurture a support system. Know that you are far from alone. Most of all, care for yourself. Step away from the news and internet when it gets to be too much. Well, I can say that I'm not exactly "Christian" as I'm more of a "Wicca" and "Druid" in my own belief system, but I don't want to explain too much into that as I don't want to be the cause of a religious argument and don't think this would be the right place for that either. And yeah, I do tend to be an activist where I can even though I don't go anywhere to protest, but I have been looking for the right area to create and nurture a support system. I have also been staying away from the news on TV for the most part and usually end up adding to my block list on Facebook when I see things I seriously don't like from Trump fanatics (or Trump Trolls as they are usually called over there).

Not sure where you recognize my name from other than the Politics sub-forum of this forum. And since you said it is okay, I just added the link to my forum in my sig here for anyone here who wishes to visit it.

Do you have clarification for the bolded statement. He won the election according to the parameters of the system in place for electing a US president.

Well, with that statement, I was referring to his multiple conflicts of interest and possible violations of the Rico and Logan Acts, Russian interference of the election including possibly the hacking of it, and voter crosscheck purge/voter suppression for starters.

Any convictions on these charges ? Or just more speculative whining from the losing side.
