Let's just call it divisive. Sorry but the few Democrats left in D.C. are the divisive ones.

Seems to be only a matter of time. The White House website was changed to eliminate the pages describing policy for both LGBT rights and climate change. We know already that the new administration is against climate change legislation. What should be the interpretation of dumping the LGBT rights page?
There is a bright side, though. They DID put in a new page promoting Melania's jewelry line that people can buy on QVC. Nice to see what is important on Day One. to stop the relentless divisionary drumbeat on identity politics that is tearing our republic apart. i'm all for LGBT rights. Hard to tell what needs to be different for them though?? How about including the LGBT community in the federal non-discrimination in employment and housing laws.

How about including the LGBT community in the federal non-discrimination in employment and housing laws. No, there shouldn't be any of those laws I am a bit confused about your reply. Do you mean there should be no federal (or even state and city) anti-discrimination laws and employers and businesses/individuals offering housing to Americans should be able to discriminate against an individual or class of people because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, genetic information, or age? Or do you mean Americans should not be discriminated because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, genetic information, or age in housing and employment as the laws are now written.

The first one, sadly, is how I took it.

They are abused as often as they protect people. I've been first and second hand witness to people abusing their protected status to not do their jobs and threaten to sue the company. I agree with part of the second statement, just not the law part. Americans should NOT be discriminated against based on anything (I'd add freedom of though/opinion here too). I just don't think it should be a law anymore as the societal costs of the laws are now surpassing the societal benefit IMO We will most definitely have to agree to disagree.

So, can anyone explain the Pipeline approval, what with 'American Energy Independence" during his reign? Why would he even need our oil? Is it just a "make-work and waste money" kind of thing?

should help pollute the groundwater nicely. There was yet ANOTHER oil pipeline spill the other day, on the Ocean Man First Nation reserve. Almost a quarter million litres. They can't drink their water, as it's full of oil. Won't be able to plant there, either, come spring. It's always the poor who suffer. If that orange nightmare wants his pipelines so badly, why doesn't he build them by Trump Tower, or through his golf courses?

Just as there was the famous phrase..... Give Peace a chance...... Let's Give Trump a chance...... A chance? Look at all the dumbfuckery in the first few days! He's going to bring the nation together? He's already wiped out the LGBTQ rights, any mention of environmentalism, and "translate into Spanish" function on the White House website. The gays, the greens and the Spanish-speaking don't matter to him. That's a YUGE chunk of America. Never mind the women....he's withdrawn funding to NGOs in dirt-poor countries if they offer abortion services. Those desperate women WILL have babies they can't feed because The Mighty Trump wills it. He's a disgrace.

Federal agencies are clamping down on public information and social media in the early days of Donald Trump's presidency, limiting employees’ ability to issue news releases, tweet, make policy pronouncements or otherwise communicate with the outside world, according to memos and sources from multiple agencies. The steps to mute federal employees — seen to varying degrees in the Environmental Protection Agency and the departments of the Interior, Transportation, Agriculture and Health and Human Services — are sparking early fears of a broader crackdown across the government, as Trump vows to pursue an agenda sharply at odds with his predecessor. www.politico.com/story/2017/01/federal-agencies-trump-information-lockdown-234122From muzzling people to wanting tanks and missile launchers at his parade......he's sounding just like a third world dictator. Or Kim Jong Un. Give him a chance, indeed.

Great news! Finally someone in the White House that can make a decision.....no more dithering from Jr. Varsity. so we should expect to see a steady series of Executive Orders, when he can't force Congress to pad his personal bottom line? So far, it is more of just undoing Obama's stupid orders. It takes more than a week to ask Congress for a law, and takes them months to pass it. He is simply speeding up the process right now so liberals cannot claim he has not fulfilled his promises to America. Do not worry. The laws are coing, just not in 50 days.

Thank you for posting this. I had not been on the board to provide the link since it was asked for. December fifth was the date of the report, so one and 2/3rds of a month ago.
