Got off my butt and took a mile-ish walk at lunch! Weather is pretty nice so I took advantage. I may make 10k steps today now depending on how much I do after I get home later.

today's a bust, whatever I end up doing. woke up to a low weight (I forget exactly what right now) on the scale, and then I got into a car accident trying to get on the highway near my house to go to work. there's a pic of my car in the "what are you doing right now?" thread. I'm okay, car's banged up. accident was totally my fault, as I made the incorrect assumption that if the car in front of me started to enter the rotary, that it would continue to do so. I came back home and poured myself a glass of wine before calling the insurance company. I've since refilled and have baseball on the tv (it is Opening Day, after all...) and I'm probably going to take a nap. dinner tonight will involve alcohol, and unless the roommate is cooking, we're either getting takeout or going out somewhere. I don't even mind picking up the whole tab, b/c I know I won't be driving - my car's not moving until it goes to the shop.

I've decided to go to the gym afterall. I'm so close to where I want to be. I just want to hurry up and get there.

Sorry chiver. Accidents suck.
I'm going to get my first 10k step day in some time. Work wasn't great but it was 70 and dry when I got home. I changed and took a 30 minute walk. I'm ready for spring. Winter kills me.

I'm down about 8 pounds. Getting strep helped. I've been working to keep my portion size and time between meals closer to what I was doing before my appetite came back. I'm mostly trying not to think about it, while also compulsively obsessing over every single thing. le sigh. My dad helped get my bike going. It still needs a tune up, but the kids and I rode our bikes to my parents house and back on Sunday and I didn't die. My butt hurt like hell, but other than that I had fun. They probably only live a 3rd of a mile away, so its not like it was a long ride, but still good. DD made it all the way there on her strider bike which I was really impressed with, and then got a car ride home. Ds and I had a really fun time on the ride home, so I'm hoping to do that a bunch this summer. Maybe even sign up for tour de cure as a family if I can get one of those quasi trailer/tandem attachments to my bike for dd.

last night was pretty boozy, can't wait to see what that does to the scale in a couple days. oh well. I made healthy-ish food choices last night, with a bowl of French onion soup and a chicken quesadilla. haven't gotten around to eating anything yet today. waiting on the tow truck now for my car.

Glad you are okay, chiver!
I can walk without any assisstive devices! Good-bye crutches, so long cane! PT tonight and Thursday. I can't wait until I am cleared for normal activity and I can go on bike rides and/or walks. I need to figure out where to join a pool, we do have plenty of options around here. Hubs finally put my bike on the trainer on Saturday, so I can do low resistance work on my hip at home. 😊

I just wish I could get into the 150s. I'm so close! Then I have to figure out how to maintain.

Last year was not good as far as weight. Instead of losing weight I gained. My year goal is to lose 20 pounds. Get 3.5 million steps. First thing I need to do is stop the gain. This weeks step goal is 70000. Starting weight 177.2 Well time to get in some steps before work. Check on yearly goals. How am I doing on the goals? So far on pace to reach 3.5 million steps despite the low count this past weekend. Weight has been fluctuating. Currently I have lost around a pound.

As predicted, DH being gone is completely derailing me food and exercise-wise. I'm hovering around 175. Still trying to get in 2 workouts/week, which less than I have been doing but at least it's something.
Also committing to going back to eating small dinners.

You can do it, Pants! Since I have PT on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evening, I try to buy quick, healthy dinner things when I go shopping on Sundays. I usually fail because I'm hungry when I get home after 7, or it's Thursday and I head straight for the brewery to hang out with my run club buddies. Anyway, I actually had a delicious, good meal tonight! I bought a Dole salad kit on Sunday because it looked good (apple dijon), wasn't too expensive ($3.50, would cost more to buy all the needed ingredients and time to prep), and would be quick. It's pretty much the kind of salad I usually make for lunches during summer (spring mix, cranberries, nuts, dijon vinaigrette) so it was good, worth spending $3. So there's your PSA for the evening. I had some salad with leftovers from dinner last night - cold salmon and brussels sprouts. Yum!

Oh god, allergies, whyyyy??! I feel awful, 95% sure it's allergies vs. a cold. Itchy throat, runny nose, sneezing and stuffy. GROSS. Need to get a giant bottle of zyrtec... I was lucky, my allergies disappeared while I was pregnant and haven't come back until now. ...yup, weather.com says tree pollen is high. I would take some benadryl and pass out for the night, but if I have to get up for the baby I need to be functional. Ate OK today, didn't do great on steps but it poured all day so I couldn't get out for any walking... hoping the weather looks up. Supposed to be 60s-70s next week! I have such cabin fever.

Allergies are the worst! I take Singulair, zyzal all year long, and a steroid nose spray as needed. And I still have problems... ugh! I NEED to kick dairy and gluten totally and only allow for 1 meal a week... tops. That helps.so much with my allergies, but I haven't been able to kick it since I went to Europe in October and ate whatever I wanted. I got in 10k steps today. Going to aim to hit the gym tomorrow... if i can get in to the office early and get a handle on things, I should be able swing it

Also wash your sheets and pillowcases on your bed more. I found out that washing sheets and pillowcases every other week really has helped with my allergies.

1700 yard swim today. I've been doing 2000 but was squeezing in between work and getting girls and I was already late. It'll have to do!

I done my 60 second plank exercise 3 times today, and in the last session I could get down without using help. That in itself is huge for me.

Been doing good on exercises but didn't do them today, was kind of sore, but don't want to get out of the habit.
I have stopped gaining weight finally and not starving 24/7. I hate, hate, hate steroids and prednisone but I get so sick and can't breathe not much I can do. One course or shot I can deal with but 2, sets me up for eating everything I see. It's finally better, so that's a good thing.
I loaded up on veggies in the city couple of days ago, even pressed the small fridge in service in the garage. Bought bell peppers at Sam's 6 for $6.98, went to Fresh Thyme next door and they were 2 for $1, damn could have saved $4 on each bag, I need to remember they are generally cheaper on veggies. That cost me.
Had gone through several recipes I think we will like and bought ingredients, the recipes are from Weight Watchers, we all need to eat differently.

Also wash your sheets and pillowcases on your bed more. I found out that washing sheets and pillowcases every other week really has helped with my allergies. I thought every other week was the standard rule? I can't imagine going longer than that. Often we change them out once a week... 2 weeks is the max.

My allergy doctor says once a week. As a kid growing up that's what we did. My stepmom had one with horrible asthma and two with allergies. Towels were used once. Hand towels replaced daily. Sheets and towels washed on hot.

Oh yeah, DH and I are both pretty allergic to dust so I should really start doing that more, it would help both of us. Of course we're both allergic to cats too, yet the cat still sleeps on my head every night. I wuv her too much to give her the boot. New awesome bagel place in town is derailing my weight watchers, a bagel w/ cream cheese is like half my daily points and I've already had one twice this week. I'll eat well the rest of the day now, but still... ugh so good.

My allergy doctor also recommends those pillow covers for those of us allergic to dust. I have a mattress pad too not sure how well it works. Supposed to be allergy and blah blah though.

I'm starving. I had a handful of granola. Better than a bag of chips I suppose.
