I thought I was doing good this morning, but my boss asked if I was ok and that I appeared slightly frazzled. Uh, no, I don't feel frazzled. I blame the time change. And the long weekend driving to/from family in another state. I did get a workout in this morning, b/c starting tonight the weather is supposed to get crappy and stay crappy until late Wednesday night. And it's SO HARD for me to get out of bed when the weather sucks.

Weighed in at 164.4 today. Today is a new week for the gym. I'm going to try to get there a bit earlier today and stay a little longer. Hopefully it ends up working out that way.

Leaving for Vegas with my friend tonight! I am going to try to moderate my portion sizes while we're away, but the diet is probably going out the window until Friday when I'm home again.. convenience/cheap food is not usually super healthy and I'm not sure how well I'll be able to restrain myself at the breakfast buffets! We will probably be doing a lot of walking around, so hoping not to gain much back - I'm up a half pound this morning compared to last week, but honestly that isn't bad considering how crap I've been eating. When I'm back home, getting back on the ball so I can start losing for serious again.

Cael, I think you'll be fine. You'll be doing a ton of walking. Vegas is so fun. There's so much to Do! And you deserve a little you time.

I'm getting more excited and less anxious about it (normally I'm up to travel anywhere anytime but I'm anxious leaving the baby) - we only have two full days and will do some exploring, but we're also looking forward to relaxing at the pool at the MGM! and if I'm being honest I'm looking forward to a few drinks too, help take the edge off any anxiety I'm feeling missing the baby

Lunchtime workout complete. I forgot my lunch and grabbed a sandwich from corner bakery since I really wanted MEAT and they put next to no chicken in their salads. After eating I saw that my sandwich had almost 800 calories! Argh!!!

I was up and down the stairs a bunch, loading stale dated food and loading it in the car. Then taking empty jars down and TP up for both bathrooms.
After that did the exercycle for half an hour, then the weight machine. Also did some side and back leg lifts. I want to get the legs strong before trying walking on the treadmill. Will add lower calf and foot weight resistance in a couple of weeks. Honestly my back is feeling better already, stretching really helps it.

So far fitbit says 14,921 steps, 5.95 miles, 2,645 calories burned. Today has turned out to be a good day. I still have a couple of hours left in the day. I should get to 15,000 steps and 6 miles today. Yay! I think that's a personal best. I'm going to try to get to at least 13,000 steps tomorrow.

morning workout done. i am getting in a bad habit of grabbing scrambled eggs and extra egg whites from the cafe downstairs for breakfast. and grabbing lunch in the building, even if I brought something. BAD, SARCASTIC! these are NOT in the budget, at all! i am going to put together some egg bake or something tomorrow and have my chicken and veggies for lunch tomorrow. I SWEAR THIS WILL HAPPEN!!!
p.s. already over 10K steps today and it is barely 1pm.

I worked out again on the exercycle, I can't get it set right for distance but I am riding it 20 to 30 minutes and there is a lot of resistance. I found the book so going to see how to do it. I bought it from a lady but its a good one and she has taken care of it. Then do pulldowns and leg lifts, I am already upping the reps, waiting to add

Well, I did Zumba class and 2.5 miles on the elliptical. Came home and had a bowl of homemade chili. No carbs, lots of protein. Woot!

sarcasticgirl - what do you typically pack for breakfast? if you're craving eggs, you can still do that and bring it from home. I used to prep all the fixins for veggie egg and cheese wraps that I would nuke after boot camp in the mornings. lmk if you want tips today was a total bust for me. I was a complete lazy ass this morning, watching the snow. by the time I decided I would take the pups out for a walk, it was raining sideways here. bonus - 95% of the snow is already gone. yay! and then, I decided to trash my kitchen with ~3lbs of meatballs in red sauce, and chicken and eggplant cutlets. I'm still full.....but plan to finish this last glass of wine before I call it a night.

This weekend I was SOOOOOO BAD and only worked out once. I guess I was really drained from my Boston excursion and didn't wake up til 10:30 yesterday (work was canceled due to snow). I did shovel for about 45 mins though - does that count as exercise? Food was again awful. Today starts my transition back to normal/healthy eating. I'll try to do some Just Dance with DS tonight, and dinner will be ricotta gnocchi with sauce and veggies for DS and zoodles with sauce for me.

Working at home is not helping me get steps in! Food hasn't been too bad though. Baby steps.

I'm not the hugest fan anyway, but I have gotten to the point where i can't choke them down unless they are in a salad. then no problem. I made a little egg bake with eggs, sausage and spinach last night and warmed it this morning with some salsa verde. i didn't really enjoy it warmed over but i ate it anyway! i wish i could do breakfast wraps/tacos... but I'm avoiding gluten at least 5 days a week and I'm dairy free. I have off the chart inflammation levels and dairy makes my allergies horrible. wraps really do make life SO MUCH EASIER! I think I might just start having breakfast salads. hard boiled eggs and bacon added to a salad maybe a little fruit in there too.

If you can have rice, you can make breakfast "fried rice" - bacon, eggs, veggies, and rice.

I've been so tired all week. Daylight saving has me all messed up. It's never bothered me this much. I think I'm getting old.

I've used the Sworkit app the last couple of days, roughly 10 - 15 minutes worth of activity. I have sore muscles in the upper chest/shoulder area today. Guess it's doing something even if I'm not breaking a sweat at lunch. Food is so-so, I still have too many snacks/sweets. It was my go to energy buzz for so long when my thyroid was out of whack and I still catch myself doing the sugar buzz thing sometimes. I don't think I've moved the scale either way, but at least it's not going up

I like my little egg muffins toasted to reheat rather than nuked, they taste a lot better to me.

I think I'm going to have a caeser salad for lunch today. I don't care how many calories are in the dressing.

Well dang. If I have to work somewhere where there's no toaster ever again, my meals are going to be severely limited. I hate microwaved meat.

I usually have cold meat when I do have meat for lunch. The only thing I use my microwave at home for is steaming veggies and warming my heating pad.
