You can exert yourself with a head cold. Chest congestion/inflammation would be a no-no. ETA: How gross you are would also determine when to use the gym. I work out at home or outside, don't belong to a gym. Just clean up after yourself and don't sneeze on anyone!

I eat way worse on the weekends, I don't keep to a schedule at all. I might eat breakfast, and it'll be a big one if I do, and then lunch is off time wise. I'll notice I'm hungry at 3 but don't want to eat a lot because I'll be having dinner soon. So I have a lot of not good for me snacks. At work I have structure and control of how many snacks are available. At home, I have stuff in the house for other people that I will get into when I shouldn't.

Here's what I'm thinking. I'm going to use the elliptical. I know some people are gross and don't clean off the equipment after using it, but I'm not that way. After I use anything I wipe it down with the spray bottles of cleaner that they have there. As far as being in the room with the others during Zumba, none of them should be within 3 feet of me or else they are too close for my liking anyway. And I'm just now feeling the cold, this thing has been incubating all week and I've still been there and have unknowingly already spread the germs. I'm still on the fence as to whether I'm going or not, so I still may stay home. It depends how I feel at that time. I don't really feel bad now. I'm just sneezing and have a runny/stuffy nose. If I had allergies I'd think that is what it was. Since I don't, I'm assuming it's a cold. That and because of the crazy weather changes lately, everyone here is sick it seems.

Well I didn't go to the gym. I can't stop sneezing and my nose won't stop running. I may or may not have stopped by Marshall's on the way to get Jackson from daycare and bought a couple of clothing items for the gym. Does that count?

I can't stop sneezing, except when I have to put pressure toward my nose in an effort to drain my solid sinuses. I'd guess this is all allergies, since I blew all the dog fur all over my car by driving with the windows open this morning, but I've also been coughing all day to boot. between that and the wacky weather, I won't be surprised if I wake up tomorrow feeling like I got hit by a train.
I'm already in bed now, without my typical glass of wine. those are calories I can count in my favor, no?

I am way better behaved during the week. On the weekends I tend to drink beer which I don't do during the week usually. I also am less conscious about what I'm eating.

I eat worse during the weekend. I'm prone to mindless grazing rather than structured meals. But I'm also usually more active during the weekend and exercise more. I'll sleep in a bit, go for a run, shower and do errands or chores, then often run later in the evening as well. I struggle to make myself exercise on weeknights; exercising weekday mornings is absolutely out on the question. My hope is everything balances out in the end.

I do think pollen is already out and allergies are starting to come on, we've definitely been sneezing more and my eyes are sore (although that could be the end of the bronchitis). It was so nice last year being pregnant and having zero problems with pollen! Guess things are getting back to normal now, lol.

I think pregnancy just agrees with some people. I didn't get to be one of those. I was miserable and crying for some reason or another with Thing 1. I was just flat out uncomfortable most of the time with Thing 2. Oh well.

I was able to tolerate dairy way better when I was pregnant.
I started getting sinus drainage again ever since my last cold ended--about a month ago. I had thought my sinus surgery last year had cured that completely, but doesn't appear to now. I did have a sinus infection too, but had antibiotics, so that should be gone. Allergy pills seem to be helping a bit. I need to find some that dry me up a bit more without drying so much that my throat kills me in the morning.

Progress report: back down to my baseline (pretty much). I only lasted a few days with giving up Cheetos and wine for Lent. Now all the cheetos are out of the house, so that helps. Was exercising pretty regularly, but tweaked my neck Monday, and it's still stiff. Managed to do a Pilates workout yesterday. May have to keep doing that kind of thing until my neck's doing better. DH made steaks and baked potatoes Sunday, and I've been eating those leftovers all week. Eating that really helps me stay full while keeping the calories down. I know it's not your typical diet food, but it really works for me.

So I finally just said screw it yesterday during lunch and tried a 5 minute quick walking video on youtube. I didn't die so I did another one. I almost died, but not because of the congestion. My ankle is the tiniest bit angry between the heel & ankle bone on the inside of the leg but that can be dealt with. I can't stand it anymore, I've got to get moving again.

Hit the gym again this morning. 3rd time since I joined Monday afternoon. My goal will be a minimum of 3 times a week. Need to do some food planning this weekend to have breakfast and lunch be the biggest meals with lots of protein . My neck and shoulders are still feeling rough so I will try some yoga this weekend.

I got to the basement finally. I have a weight machine, treadmill, bicycle, weight bench, and don't exercise! It's decent equipment too not junk.
The treadmill is hard for me with my feet even though its a cushioned one.
So I started back on the bicycle today, man all the programs on it are hard, but I have sit all winter. I did all I could. Then went to the weight machine and did pull downs and leg lifts. I will have to be careful and not strain anything so about a half hour was all. Also have a 60 inch TV down there so absolutely no excuse not to do it. Going to do at least 3 days a week and going to try daily.
Now if I can encourage DD to do something that will be good.

I did my workout, been up and down the stairs several times bringing up jars and emptying stuff. Had to sit down a bit, now down to get canned goods to put in the pantry up here to use and get my spot steam cleaner for the carpet. Right now my legs are quivering, but my mid back feels better already from stretching. It will take time, need to be strong for the spring and summer work.
I have to force myself to workout even though I know it helps.

I was lazy most of the week. Exhausted from work and not feeling well. Today I slept in, had a leisurely morning, went for a run, and now I'm finishing up chores.
I found a printable of a running shoe to color in every kilometer I run for the year. It's a 1,000 kilometer challenge. I was aiming for around 700 miles for the year as a minimum, so the 1,000K is actually less than that. But sounds much more impressive. 😁

I did a 40 min yoga session last night but then ate nachos and had mucho alcohol. Then today I had the most sinful, most UN-YM brunch ever! I feel like a beached whale but it was totally worth it. I don't think I'll eat for the rest of the day.

may I ask where you went for brunch? I forgot to mention a well-loved dive bar that's a little away from the convention center, but that I think is closer to your hotel, that serves breakfast. every time I bring someone up to the airport, we grab breakfast there on their way out. chili cheddar omelets and mimosas FTW.

I love spring forward because I love the extra daylight in the evenings... but i am not going to lie, this week is going to blow! Morning is going to be rough. But I literally lazed around all weekend, I didn't eat horribly, but it wasn't stellar. So I need to hit the gym for sure.

Weekly check in- Hit my step goal. Eating not so good. Weight is up a bit. Just really did not do well this weekend.

no pre-work gym time. I got dressed and came in... but oh i feel crappy. I have post nasal drip and it is making my stomach hurt/ also causing reflux. hoping I'll feel better and can get down to the gym mid day. *fingers crossed* i don't think the time change is helping. I feel like falling over
