for the past 3 days I have been having crazy lunches and minimal and slightly weird dinners. Sunday I had a whole Dr. Oetker pizza for lunch and a smoothie for dinner. Monday I ate pretty normally (although not super healthy). Yesterday I had grilled cheese and fries for lunch and a chocolate bar and grapes for dinner. I'm not getting fatter but I have ZERO energy - probably because I'm not correctly fueling my body. I did a 28 min vinyasa yoga sesh this morning and it was way harder than it should have been. Feels like the funk cloud is threatening to descend once again. Weirdly enough this has been a big help for me in losing weight. I eat what I want to during the day - snacks and treats and etc. as well as a full lunch. But then for dinner just have a few hundred calories max. It's worked well for me and I haven't noticed an energy difference. This feels like exactly how I will eat if I continue morning workouts. Especially with DH having a super early shift and going to bed at 7 or 8 pm. 300 or less cals for dinner is totally fine.

See, dinner is my problem time. If I've eaten lightly all day, I'm way more likely to have dinner then get hit by the munchies and totally derail my day.. like last night with the pasta DH made, after I had a smart one already. I need to be better about drinking water and snacking on fruits or veggies if I need to snack at night. Oh and afternoon slump is a bad time for me too - like for example, right now I'm feeling pretty full, but want a donut and a new coffee really badly. Going to try like hell to resist.. the coffee I may cave on but I get an iced coffee with extra milk and no sugar, so that isn't so bad. Donut is a no-no.

And it's someone's birthday today and I OD'ed on black and white cookies and gourmet cheeses. I am a bad bad girl! 300 calories chocolate bar? ? Amateur.

Helps me from feeling too full, and seems to digest more quickly too. Same thing with dinner. I keep my dinner light, but I don't eat it all in one sitting. I give a break of an hour. So 6 pm and then last amount of food at 7:30 pm. I am never too hungry or too full.

I can't do cold fries.
Today is a better day. I'm trying to just go day by day. Tuesday got blown up because I spent 6+ hours sitting in meetings. My steps were very low and I had leg spasms a sure sign I've sat too much.

I think dinner might just be 2 scrambled eggs and some carrots. Fitbit had me calorie burn at like 3000 total yesterday. (Seems high! But okay!) Trying to keep calories at 1800 or less.

I made burrito bowls for our dinner tonight. Ugh, it was too good! I could eat five more. I made mine with cilantro lime rice, sauteed peppers and onion, black beans, not quite half an avocado, hot chipotle salsa, and a bit of shredded sharp cheese.

I am not even remotely hungry. I am drinking some green tea while I finish up some work. I guess I'll just scramble an egg when I am done and throw it on a corn tortillas with a little black bean hummus. Easy quick... nutritious enough.

Well I did 20 minutes on the elliptical before Zumba. I set the resistance to 30 and it wasn't bad at all. I think I'm going to do the same tomorrow and then try 35 next week. What is it supposed to be on? It can't be the same as the treadmill because that would be like hiking a mountain.

I just made a piece of sausage and 2 eggs for dinner since DH commandeered the toaster oven so I couldn't toast my corn tortilla. You could certainly do a lot worse than bacon and eggs.

I think I redeemed myself today. Got to the gym, took a 45 minute walk at lunch, and got in 35 flights of stairs. Also, I ate much better than yesterday. Oh, and I also had bacon and eggs for dinner. Yep, no carbs

Hopped on the scale today and am down 4 lbs from monday. I know much of that is water weight as I ate Campbell's soup on Sunday night and was so bloated on monday. No gym this AM. My neck is really hurting this morning and I needed to get in to work early. Have a chiro appt. After work so I can't stay late. My dr. Is not several blocks further so at least I will get a walk in there. Will do core tonight at home.

It was nice out yesterday so I saw everyone and their brothers out running yesterday on my drive home... if only it wasn't almost dark and I didn't have a fussy baby to contend with I would've gone out when I got home for a pathetic jog around the neighborhood. Sometime I will, when DH is home to take the baby!

scale was back where it belonged this morning, phew! I don't know about the rest of you, but I do way better during the week than I do on weekends. a typical weekday for me is to wake up between 8-9, putter around the house with my coffee, and then either walk the pups or dog park until noon (light exercise for me either way). 12-1, I clean up for work and have a small meal. it isn't always breakfast foods, but it's usually healthy. some time in the afternoon, I'll grab a couple "cracker cuts" and healthier triscuit-type crackers. dinner usually waits til the office clears out, typically after 7, and is something I've brought from home most of the time. and then there's the glass of wine when I get home.
weekends? depends which way the wind blows. if anything, I dehydrate myself and don't eat enough, which is how I found myself "down" so far last weekend.
do any of you have such a marked difference between weekdays and weekends?

Oh lord yes, it's a lot easier for me to manage what I eat during the week than on the weekends when my schedule is a lot less structured. Sometimes weekends I eat too much or get fast food, or I don't eat enough so then snack too much at night. Managing my food during the week when I go to work is much easier, especially if I have food I'm bringing from home for lunch.

Not really. I guess the biggest difference is that I am stuck to my desk during the week and end up snacking more. My weekends during the winter can be lazy and I eat more, but when it isn't crappy out I am usually out and about and more active and not boredom snacking... I am in the office well before 8-9 am... I rarely sleep that late on the weekend. Jealous!

well, I get to sleep in a little bc I don't go in to work til 2. but that also means I stay til 10(ish, especially lately). add my hour drive home, and I'm walking in the door at 11pm. I just make my personal time a morning thing. it's been interesting to adjust to.

I definitely have a difference between weekday/weekend, but I am usually better on the weekends. I have to leave at 7 for my 7:05 train, so I bring my breakfast to work with me, usually some quick oats I can make in the microwave. I also bring yogurt for my mid-morning snack, lunch with fruit, then an apple or something mid-afternoon. Seems reasonable, but there are almost always snacks at work! Someone brings in cookies, candy, soft pretzels, etc. Vending machine downstairs if I am feeling salty snacks and don't want my apple. At home, I don't really snack. I'll have a piece of cheese or a pickle if I'm really craving something. On weekends I will eat breakfast around 10 or 11 if we don't have plans, and by the time I'm hungry again it's late afternoon when I eat, so dinner ends up being small. I was worried about gaining weight while I am recovering and working from home but the lack of snacking is saving me, so now I am worried about snacking when I go back to the office next week!

I am way better behaved during the week. On the weekends I tend to drink beer which I don't do during the week usually. I also am less conscious about what I'm eating.
