I checked out the site and pinned a few things. She has an Adobo Chicken recipe that I use on a pork roast instead. I'd eat it on everything honestly I like that she doesn't require anything too expensive and I get new ideas. Thanks! i just pinned that one. sounds tasty!

well, this was a pleasant surprise - hopped on the scale this am to see 206 and change. has to be related to eating almost nothing the other day, hopefully that extra lb loss sticks!

Lunchtime workout done! Oatmeal and banana for lunch, check! I'm sure I'll be hungry later today, but it's a day of meetings and I don't think I'll have time for anything else. I hope DH made it to the store to get something more substantive for dinner

I *think* I might have dropped a couple of pounds. I should find a scale to stand on. My surgery was 2/8, and I've been working from home since 2/16 and finally go back to the office 3/13. Thus morning I tried on a couple pairs of work pants and they feel like they fit slightly better. So I think the key to weight loss is get hip surgery, take pain killers for ~1 week, don't eat too much that first week, and don't have any office snacks to tempt you. That last one might be the reason. Lol

Fell off the wagon. Getting back on. I feel like the mom in santa clarita diet -- I have to change my nature when it's literally impossible to do so. I also feel a little melodramatic and like I need to take a break from Netflix and see the world.

Heading swimming in a bit.
Saw a friend today I haven't seen since the summer and she had a *strong* reaction to how much weight I've lost. She kept screaming "Where did you go? There's so little of you!" It was a little awkward in front of the girls, tbh. Also, I'm a size 12, it's not like a strong wind is going to blow me the fuck away or something...

This week was good and bad. Eating was not good at all. Total carb fest. The weather was pretty nice, but I only got in one walk. But, thanks to Pants, I got to the gym three times, which was a huge positive.
This week is going to be tough. It's a five-day work week for me, which I haven't had to do in over a month between my flex schedule and holidays. I'm whining I know, but it hasn't even started and already it seems long.
I'm going on a little getaway starting this coming Saturday through Wednesday. That means if I don't get to the gym during the week, it'll be nearly two weeks of skipping. Not acceptable, so I'm aiming for going Tuesday and Thursday.

I just went to put my salads together, only to realize that my lettuce and cucumbers are going bad. I hate produce from TJs. Argh. So I have boiled eggs, Northern beans, carrots and some dried cranberries. So yeah... not sure what I'm going to eat tomorrow. Annoying.
Yesterday was a mess food wise, we were out at MIL'S helping clean up after some tornados rolled through. Of course she had no food for lunch and we ended up eating some doritos and a box of Mac n cheese. After community cleanup we were invited out with some friends to a pizza place. We ended up having boneless wings. I ate 3 or 4 and instantly bloated. And felt like less than stellar last night and it rolled in to today.

It's a gorgeous day here and there's quite a bit of bare pavement on the bike path instead of just snow and ice. I'm happy that I was able to run farther, faster and with less effort than I could last fall. But holy crap, running on pavement murdered my shins, so much harder than the treadmill! Need to get better shoes or break out the compression gear if I go out again.

Keep your leg in place and just move your feet to draw the letters, sound silly but it helps

last week ended kinda poorly, but the weekend wasn't as bad food-wise as it normally is. It wasn't good though, lol! Skipped my Saturday workout but did a 55 min power yoga workout yesterday and a 30 minute barre workout this morning. Didn't have time to pack breakfast this morning, so I bought from the cafeteria: bacon, egg whites, 4 small potato wedges, pineapple and strawberry chunks. That should keep me full til lunch.

Welp I ate pretty poorly again for the weekend/end of the week, but still lost a pound because my appetite has barely been there. On a z-pack now for bronchitis, cough feels a teeny bit better and the swollen lymph/gland/whatever under my throat isn't golf ball sized anymore, so hopefully I'm getting over this. also forgot to put my fitbit on today so I'll lose steps I'll get at work.. oh well.

I had 2 cookies at lunch - chocolate chip and red velvet with chocolate chips. Worth it. I'm going to north Jersey after work to meet someone about buying my Roomba and to meet with my friend about our trip to Boston. I'll probably stay the night. I predict dinner will be a calorie bomb.

Well, ultimately I want to be healthier... that is what I base my goals on. Healthy blood sugar/ blood pressure and body fat % Ultimately, I don't have a goal size or goal weight. So I guess that is good? But, yeah... this article is depressing. Sent from my SM-N920T using proboards

firm catered in breakfast... of course it was bagels, croissants, pastries, donuts and fresh fruit. i ate a croissant, hardboiled egg and half of a muffin. (600 calories of emptiness) I hit the salad bar in the building for lunch and I'm not sure what to make for dinner tonight, but i'll make it fit in the calorie allotment. Signed up for the gym today, plan to hit it first thing in the morning. literally, sleeping in a workout top... rolling out of bed, potty, brush teeth, put on shoes and pants and out the door. I CAN DO THIS! i need something i can shove in my mouth before working out, not sure what that would be though...
