Who was it that told me about the Sworkit app? I tried it today. So far I like it. Me! Love sworkit! Once I get the swimming as a habit and under control I'm planning to add back in body weight workouts. Well thank you! I do like that I can skip stuff that won't work for my foot right now. There were 2 or 3 in a row that I was looking at like IDK if I'll be able to do that even when my foot is happy again!!

Yoga/ pilates done. Finishing my last 2500 steps for the day. Good on calories today.
Heading to Texas this weekend. So excited! Give me 80 degrees and hopefully some sunshine!

Today's a swim day but I can't get jazzed about it. Still aching from Tuesday plus slept terribly last night. But DH and I have a gala to go to tomorrow night and I need to work out today to stave of the calories. Blurgh.

Today's a swim day but I can't get jazzed about it. Still aching from Tuesday plus slept terribly last night. But DH and I have a gala to go to tomorrow night and I need to work out today to stave of the calories. Blurgh. I slept horribly last night too. DH took our furbeast to his mom's house yesterday, since she's keeping him while we are out of town, and I never sleep well the first night he is gone. Actually, i slept like an effing ROCK until 3am, then i tossed and turned until 6. UGH! i just wanted a croissant breakfast sandwich this morning... but i didn't get it. hooray for me.

I already ate a cupcake that was randomly lying around at work from a vendor. Yes, it's 9am. I was exhausted and went to bed really early last night, then started having random anxiety like "What if the carbon monoxide detector fails and we all die in our sleep?" I didn't get to sleep until I took anxiety meds and finally fell asleep around 1.

I have wanted to eat a bowl of ice cream the last two evenings. Both evenings I did not give in.
I have to be good as tomorrow I will be attending a event with much food and drink.

So my work does a lunchtime workout every Thursday. It's 30 minutes and it's like zumba meets body weight exercise meets step aerobics. Maybe. I don't really know how to describe it. But, it's different than what I usually do which is run and free weights. I feel pretty good about it, and plan to try to keep it up. If nothing else it'll be good just b/c it's so different. Also, now I feel like my makeup is melting off my face. I forgot to bring a makeup remover/face cleanser thing. Oops. Good thing I have no appointments this afternoon!

I did another Sworkit workout during lunch. I love the title of the one I've used the last 2 days, "get moving without sweating". That's what you need when you're at the office

I ate 1400 calories... and I haven't had dinner. Argh chips and dark chocolate snack didn't help... that was nearly 500 calories! I gotta do something tonight so I can eat dinner!

As always, glad afterwards I did it. I swim a mile and about halfway through a guy jumped in the next lane. We were about evenly matched so I raced him for the rest of my sets and swam the fastest mile i've done yet.
Note: I'm pretty sure he was not aware we were racing lol.

This week was so-so
Only went to the gym twice, but I've been able to increase the weight I'm lifting on more of my exercises 145 flight of stairs, so I fell short there The weather was really nice though, so I was able to take a 30-40 minute walk every day at lunch
I went a little crazy after my no-carb stint. I've come to the sad realization that, while I love bread, it doesn't love me, and I need to look at it as a treat, not an everyday thing.

I've done much better so far in February compared to January. In January, I went to the gym 21/31 days. In February, I'm at 9/12 days. In January I had one hundred 10-oz glasses/bottles of water. In February, I'm at 54 on day 12. Today's weight is half a pound below the average for January and three pounds below January's high. However, it is 1.5 pounds above January's low. I re-committed to using myfitnesspal for food tracking. This is only day three of that, but I have done much better regarding junk food because of that commitment. I've used Sworkit also. DD#2 found it for us. I used it over the summer, but once school started I stopped having time for it. I should incorporate it a bit again.

Weekly Check in Hit step goal. Weight remained steady.
I am going to move step goal to 75000.
Weekend's are my downfall. I need to work on curbing weekend calories.

So I said that I would start running today. We'll see how well this goes. I'm starting with walking and adding short bursts of running in. Let's all hope I don't embarrass myself too much.

70,000 steps last week.
I'm going to try stretching and Pilates maybe this week. I'm plenty annoyed at myself that I can't do more until I strengthen my leg muscles to avoid knee pain.

So I actually jogged today. I didn't die and I didn't embarrass myself. As of right now the fitbit says 12,683 steps 5.08 miles and 2,102 calories burned for the day. Now for my McChicken...

Avoiding this thread because the weekend was a shit show and I'm on day THREE of this hangover. No swimming since Thursday and I ate 6 donuts today. Oh well back in the saddle tomorrow.

A minor win. I worked very late and went to the grocery store after work to grab a quick bite to eat since I didn't feel like cooking. The cheesecakes and chocolate covered strawberries got the better of me. Fortunately, only two checkout lanes were open and manned by the slowest checkers on the planet. I got frustrated after waiting forever and left empty handed. Avoided empty calories and got extra steps in on my jaunt around the store. And went home and cooked something healthy after all.

I ate pretty crappy over the weekend and tried tracking it all on WW, but luckily still down about 3lbs from last week. I think it's the volume of what I'm eating (or not eating) and the snack choices I'm making. Even if I'm not 100% good, the differences in what I eat and how much is still helping. If I can drop another couple next week I'll be under 190, which I haven't been since I was still pregnant! (although I still have 40lbs to go, sooo... baby steps here I guess.)

Since running wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, I'm just going to do it before zumba every night instead of following that 3 day a week thing. I'm going to just wing it and do it my way which involved more running than the program called for. Maybe this will get me past my plateau.

Someone brought in Valentine's Day mini donuts. I caved and am eating one. I'm not even trying to rationalize it. I guess I'll be going for a walk after work, after all. DH and his sore toe can stay home if necessary

Hey everyone! Got back from Texas last night... OMG my stomach was a wreck yesterday from eating all kinds of things that I normally don't eat. I am desperately craving salad and soup! I plan to step on the scale on Monday... but not until then. I know that I didn't get the water intake that I usually do and feel very bloaty. Stayed a bit active while we were there... Hit up a couple of museums, a battle ship and the botanic gardens and really soaked in the Sunshine!
Yoga tonight... and 10K steps are the plan. Will be grabbing salad for lunch.
Happy to see blue skies and super excited for warmer weather in chicago this weekend (Also- feel bad for being excited, because this is clearly major signs of climate change)
