Its not the religion that is attacking. Its a crazy ass group that happens to be Muslim. Islam existed before you were born, if it was from the religion only this stuff would be old hat.

Just how old do you think I am anyway ? I know Islam was not made up a couple of decades ago. Yes I know it is old. Some sand jockey got pissed, way back centuries ago, because Jewish religion wasn't his religion, so he goes out for a long walk and has a mental breakthrough and comes back with a brand new "old religion" and talks a few other goat herders into believing him.

Thanks for the link, Tenn. I read that a while back ..... "In August, one ISIS spokesman wrote: “I ask Allah to deliver America to Trump.” Another supporter declared: “The ‘facilitation’ of Trump’s arrival in the White House must be a priority for jihadists at any cost!!!” ISIS is working to drum up support for the candidate it has called “the perfect enemy.”.... ...As a former ISIS fighter told Revkin and Mhidi: “When Trump says hateful things about Muslims, it proves that jihadists are right to fight against the West, because the West is against Islam.” As a result, his ideas fuel the group’s efforts to radicalize and mobilize its followers to take action. In fact, Trump himself has been featured in ISIS propaganda videos following the Brussels attack and the Orlando massacre." The Useful Idiots of America (aided by the EC) have fulfilled the fondest dreams of ISIS. Congratulations.

ISIS does not represent the vast majority of Muslims. Does not have to. Islam allows it to exist within it's regular patrons. If you want to, think of it like the Catholic church and it's child predator Priests that they protect. Catholic haters here have no problem accusing the church of hiding and protecting them. Islam does the same thing with their extremists.

I am done being politically correct with discussion of Islam.

I call myself a recovering Catholic. I was raised in the Archdiocese of Boston, where the majority of the cases you refer to originated. I'm not really sure why you would expect me to apologize for anything those priests did. did they actually kill people? not directly. does that excuse in any way what they did? fuck, no.
so excuse me if I don't follow the logic of your post.

Trust me, we all know this is a national problem. Chicago and suburbs had more than their share of them. I know the church has mentally destroyed many young boys over the decades. I am not excusing it. I mentioned it, because I felt some posters who seem to always excuse Islam for their excesses have no problem attacking the Catholic church over their sins, and even use this issue to deflect the argument being made on this subject of Extremist Islamic terrorism.

I still don't see the line between what you have posted about expecting the average non-radicalized Muslim to do regarding their fellow Muslims and what I should have done during the priest abuse scandal. I'm so conflicted now......wondering what you think of me, and whether you might report me to Homeland Security!

This is about ISIS so why did you bring Catholics into it? I explained it to you already. I used the Catholic analogy to make some posters think about the extremists being allowed to exist within their religion. As many Catholic and organized religion "dislikers" that we have on the boards here, I am asking them to really look within theirselves and ask why they do not see a correlation of the transgressions allowed with Islam, as applied to Catholic and Baptist church rhetoric here on the board. I am done talking religion here, as we are probably close to having the thread moved to the Religion board...... If you and others cannot understand the double standard that exists over these issues, I am truly sorry.

First, Islam is about 1400 years old not 2000. Second: I hope that you spend your days interacting with like minded individuals and somewhere where you don't get much of a variety of school of tought and creeds !

I, and I assume most people expected the Catholic church leaders to fix the problem of child abuse and not protect the Priests and hide the problem. Is it not time to expect Inmans to do the same within their religion? What I think of you is rather irrelevant, but I will tell you. I think you are a very intelligent person who brings a lot of good spirit and thoughtfulness to the boards. Do I agree with you much of the time? Probably not. So what? I am sure you feel you do not agree with me much of the time either. Not a big deal....... Did I refer to you as a Catholic hater? If I did, I did not remember doing it. On a post I did say "disliker" but I do not think that was in reference to anyone in particular and "disliker" was a term used because I could not think of a better adjective.
Not sure what you want me to say about the sarcastic remark about turning you into Homeland Security////Won't matter until the Donald takes over
Look, I am done with the goobly gook bs comparing Christianity to Islam and arguing which is worse. Christianity has dropped the Crusades. Islam has not.

VB-you might have been away from the board around the time of the Pulse nightclub shootings in Orlando. Some said that there was no outrage about the shootings from Muslim leaders in the U.S. I posted this link to a joint statement from U.S. Muslim leaders condemning the shootings. It was signed by 200 prominent Muslims in the U.S. A JOINT MUSLIM STATEMENTON THE CARNAGE IN ORLANDO On behalf of the American Muslim community, we, the undersigned, want to extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the barbaric assault that occurred early yesterday morning at Pulse, an LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando, Florida. We unequivocally say that such an act of hate-fueled violence has no place in any faith, including Islam. As people of faith, we believe that all human beings have the right to safety and security and that each and every human life is inviolable. We know that, given the tenor of the times, some will associate this tragedy with the religion of the perpetrator. While we may never learn conclusively what motivated this misguided individual, many news sources claim that he was motivated by his faith, which would be a reprehensible distortion of Islam adding the religion to the long list of innocent victims in this callous crime. Any such acts of violence violate every one of our Prophet’s teachings. For Muslims, that this carnage occurred in the blessed month of Ramadan—a month of charity, introspection, and self-purification—only adds to the foulness of this enormity. Complete statement and signatories of the joint communication here: ON THE CARNAGE IN ORLANDO
