I have to google Cronkite news. Wonder if this is related to the late Walter Cronkite. Not complaining, it just peeked my interest

The wall in all its grandeur Trump promised his supporters (who gobbled it up) is not going to be built and Mexico is not going to pay for it. As it is and according to polls, the majority of U.S. citizens along the border states don't want any wall built. "The Dallas Morning News, Cronkite News, and Univision News partnered together to conduct a series of surveys in fourteen cities along both sides of the U.S. and Mexico border. Of the 1,427 residents asked whether they believed the U.S. should build a wall along the border, 65 percent of people on the U.S. side and 75 percent on the Mexico side voted “should definitely not.” Only 14 percent of residents in U.S. border towns and 5 percent of residents in their Mexico “sister cities” voted “definitely should.” " Not Many People On The Border Really Want Donald Trump’s Wall The fact that Univision is part of the poll would autamatically skew the numbers in favor of no wall. Not too surprised by those percentages. Surprised it is not even higher. What is the percentage of Mexican Nationals, or heritage on the south side of the border? Kind of surprised south of the border is only 75% and not, say 98% What is the percentage of Mexican nationals, or heritage on the north side of the border in the cities? DAH! Oh pleade. Univision most likely polled the Mexican side of the border. There is still 65% of U.S. citizens against it.

I agree. it includes the farm industry, poultry, cattle, and hog factory industry, what is left of the old democratic machine, and all youngsters under 25 wondering how they will get their cocaine after the wall is built

I didn't promise to move to Europe. Re read what I said. I'm definitely weighing and keeping my options open. Being more liquid helps that. We are working through the steps for those with access to dual citizenship to get their necessary papers.
I'm going to be serious here, if I was l less worried, I'd be more likely to go these next two years and bum around instead of stay and fight. But, realistically, this is where my doomsday bunker is...

Peeps on this board were citing the futures self off that was occurring on election night as the crash / big reduction that would be hitting the market due to Trump..........
I was the one talking sell off, and no short term response of any kind was behind my decisions. As of this morning, portfolio is up $91,000 since first week of November and I have done nothing as far as buying or selling....... Just like Brexit, nothing but Democratic claptrap, the sky is falling the sky is falling.....

United Health actually is one of the big three responsible for a large part of the Dow movement.
I'm not sure what's up your ass R, but I could go now and do paperwork there if I wanted. Not sure what your point was?

I hear there are some countries you can just move to until the necessary papers are worked out...oh wait, that's our country! actually, it is most countries. in fact, i am hard pressed to think of a single country that doesn't work that way. it is called a travel visa.

Instead of admitting they lost money by liquidating, they fancy themselves a stock trading genius who is liquidating at the exact right time.

I've removed several posts. This isn't the place to discuss who's being ignored and by whom. This has been said often enough. Such posts are now simply being removed so other posters don't have to be subjected to petty arguments/insults between a few.

I'm not sure how you reached that conclusion given that the very post you quoted had me saying it's possible that I will be mistaken and the current market will become the new bottom. I also admitted on a different post I should have held my CAT a few more days, but that is the nature of the market and why timing doesn't generally work. My CAT wasn't down though, so yeah, I enjoyed selling it up. In the end, I'm very comfortable with my decisions about what I'm doing with my money given my current confidence levels and my life situation. Sorry that seems to strike a nerve with some people? Idk...

I didn't say peeps were saying they would actually jump ship to Canada....I said they were researching it and noting the Canadia immigration website crashed or whatever.....I said they were researching it as" a backup" plan (which is for POSSIBLE future use not definite use)
and the 5 or 6 vocal peeps were being egged on by quite a few supporters as well.....it was quite amusing on election night for me on these boards
Agreed, you said folks were researching a move to Canada. However, you did indicate that MANY were doing this. That's quite an overstatement in and of itself. Hyperbole always draws my attention just as peoples' concerns about investments seems to draw yours. On a board with hundreds of members, if you count "5 or 6" as a percentage of total membership, I agree... it's not "many". However, if you limit your comparison to "active posters participating in the conversation"... then "5 or 6" becomes "many"... if compared to 10 to 20 "active participants". For the record, I remember 3 or 4 different members being participants of the "I've got to get out before it crashes" posts... but I don't recall them by name. I'd still call that "many" of the "10 to 20 active posters" on those threads.

Or maybe she's just saying that all the people who made certain to publicly threaten to move to Canada should keep their word? I wouldn't mind it in the least if Al Sharpton moved to Canada. After he pays his outstanding tax bill, though. I also wouldn't miss Lena Dunham, Chelsea Handler (or whatever her name is), Miley Cyrus, or George Lopez. Don't really watch much of any of them. Stopped watching The Voice because I just couldn't look at good ole Miley after her breakdown. Not someone I think should be model for young 'uns. Not interested in only having folks with my same view point around, just interested in people doing what they say they're going to do. She can't move... she does topless and naked protests... we want to keep her.

Kind of funny that it is only temporary when it is good news

Sure, we're going to go back to the election night threads and dig all that stuff up just because of the selective amnesia going on

Personally, to me the initial down and current up aren't two sides of a coin... They are both indicative of the volatility and uncertainty and speculation ushered in.
But I can't really speak to the claims made by some in this thread against a nameless others. I can speak for myself and I'm good. Sorry that seems to piss you off? Lol. But it doesn't change the fact.

Trump hasn't kept his word on a few things including his wall Mexico is going to pay for so why should anyone else keep their word. Can we at least wait until the wall is built until we find out who pays for it? He might put them on a low down payment, and $99 a month plan! Was thinking..put in toll booths , both ways or one...have to think that one a bit...there will be legal movement so the tolls could go toward the wall,,,whatcha think..?

You could go anywhere in the world and live there and hold market shares in US. So, if one wants to move...he/she just moves! When one decides that stock needs to be sold than that's that! Id like to see the "very inspired and future reading" individual that always sold ONLY at the peak and doesn't wish to have held certain stock a few more days. That being said, I bow to you market geniuses!

Not sure why everybody has such a big interest in it anyway. If you see any more in the future feel free to delete away. the way to avoid this problem is to NOT BRING IT UP. blaming others for getting "interested" when you do is....um.....the words escape me.

djAdvocate and Ratchets - this battle has gotten old. Beyond old, really. I'm only giving you one warning. Put each other on block or do whatever you each need to do to NOT TALK TO EACH OTHER.
If I see any more of this petty bullshit harping back and forth, I'll give both of you time outs. I don't care who started it.

I dunno man, Putin rocks the shirtless on a horse look! I'd put up pics for comparison, but the "PG" image of a topless Chelsea Handler violates ProBoard's "PG-13" criteria...
