Does it really matter we do not know the day, the year or the place Jesus was born? Does it matter December 25th was the birthday of the Roman sun god Saturn? Does it matter in the original Greek NT Mary was not a virgin? Not to our children, they are too busy trying to figure out how Santa can give them gifts when their house does not have a chimney. The religious holiday is based on pagan customs. No big deal, taht's how cultures evolve.
