Trump brushed aside questions about how his actions in the White House could benefit his businesses with a startling declaration.
"The law's totally on my side. The president can't have a conflict of interest," Trump said.
It was reminiscent of Richard Nixon's comment to journalist David Frost that by definition, a president's actions don't violate the law. "Well, when the president does it, that means it is not illegal," Nixon said.

While it's startling, unfortunately it's legally accurate.
It doesn't make it "right" though.

I am thinking that the majority of the supporters of the President elect feel it is perfectly fine and if he profits financially, the businesses he owns, thats just ok too..afterall he is going to make us great again...just ask him.."trust me" he says..So much so he even has a little red hat that says so on it..

Trump can get into trouble trying to influence foreign leaders or taking favors. He already did in Scotland telling the PM he didn't want windmills in view of his golf course hotel. This is what will bring him down:

It seems like he really doesn't understand the term "conflict of interest."

Trump can get into trouble trying to influence foreign leaders or taking favors. He already did in Scotland telling the PM he didn't want windmills in view of his golf course hotel. This is what will bring him down: w It would only bring him down if the Republican controlled House chooses. They may well decide that it's just fine for a US President to use the office to further enrich himself as long as he is one of theirs.
