Spending a week a month there over the next several months for work, anyone been with any recommendations on things to do/places to go?
I'm definitely going to take advantage of some long weekends there, DW will join me for at least a couple of them.

If you're into keeping a list of countries you've visited, Liechtenstein is an easy day trip. Take the train to Sargans (beautiful views of the Alps), take the well-marked bilious-green buses into the center of Vaduz, the capital.
I worked for a few years for a company headquartered there. Not a lot of stuff in the immediate area, but really pretty and a good base for short trips to other places.

agree with rob. the place is picturesque, clean, orderly, and expensive.
i don't have any specific recommendations for Swiz, as i have not been there in 30 years. but i also recommend Lichtenstein.

Thanks for the advice, hopping from country to country is pretty easy with a USA passport over here, I connected in Frankfurt and it was a 50 min ride to Zurich with only 5 mins spent at passport control

echo the Sargans suggestion. if you have a car and can venture outside of town, there's a beautiful little "village" that's no bigger than a large campsite here in the US that is seasonal. it's accessible by a single road that goes over a pretty stunning dam, and that road is one-way.....the direction changes on the half hour. I just looked at a map of Sargans to find a name for this little village, but I will have to do some more digging to find it. will post back if I do.
the time I spent in Switzerland was all summer, how long is this extended travel of yours? I want to recommend a few places even more east of where I was (Winterthur) but they were all summer things to do/see. Lake Konstanz is stunning, for instance.

Thanks for all the prior feedback from everyone.
So anyway I'm over in Switzerland for the third time in the last couple of months. If anyone needs any tips on expat English pubs I think I found all of them. I'm sitting at one now chugging Magners cider reading all the political posts here at YM, don't hate, it's 7pm here.
