I don't like atheists less than other religious groups. I tend to have little patience for anyone who says the answer to why the believe is because you need to take their word for it... For instance I thought GEL was much more reasoned in her approach to explaining her beliefs in your other thread than you did. I might not agree with her reasons, but I can respect the thought she gave up the topic. I'm just not feeling the same from you? Sorry. No need to be sorry old chum, is this your reasoned argument against the evidence that refutes god's existence?  I think the change data clue was in the title " millenials ". |

What I'm saying is that young males have likely always been the largest demographic for atheists... But do they stay atheists?

You didn't offer any evidence! What I'm saying is that young males have likely always been the largest demographic for atheists... But do they stay atheists? I never said it proves a god or GOD does not exist,my argument relates to refuting GOD's existence. Please present them in a different way as evidence for GOD not a god, you are conflating GOD with a god. I did state my reason and evidence was not against deism,please pay attention and stop inventing my position and attacking it, it is just not nice. While you are it please confirm i supplied the evidence to support my beliefs and i did not expect you to believe just on my say so,whether you agree or disagree is not the point, it was supplied contrary to your claims. That may be so; however, I see no reason to take it upon myself to speed up the process. A person's personal beliefs are just that - personal. Those of another don't affect me and my beliefs are of no consequence to anyone other than myself. To argue over the insignificant is, to me, folly. I'm not given to wastes of time and energy for no other reason than to further an endless argument. It reminds me too much of a face-off between the kid with the pail and the kid with the shovel who both want to run the sandbox. If this is truly your wish, by all means continue but make sure the rules of this particular forum are followed. Each has a right to his/her own belief and should not be subjected to ridicule, abuse, or shaming tactics. Please, all of you, keep that in mind. We can gain insight from one another if we allow ourselves to do so. The nature of our existence( reality) is a personal philosophy, the definition of philosophy is the nature of existence and it is decided by evidence and reason, if one holds beliefs that contradict both, the belief is obviously incorrect, it is not i who decide what is right, it is evidence and reason, i am just a mere messenger of pure logic. To suggest all opinions or beliefs are the correct way to see life in spite of reason or evidence is to abdicate the only thing that separates us from animals, therefore my opinion is significant precisely because it is based on evidence and reason. If a belief is total tripe it is the belief that is tripe, i cannot avoid any conclusion that affects the believer of tripe. |
