Did anyone watch this? What did you think?
I wasn't sure I was going to because I have never liked Kiefer Sutherland. He has always seemed like an arrogant jerk to me. I met him IRL on a movie set back in the early 90's when I was living in Seattle and it just reaffirmed my opinion of him. But I do like his Dad Donald.
But I was curious about the premise of the show and I do like Maggie Q (I am glad she found another show after CBS cancelled Stalker) so I did watch. I thought it was okay. I may give it a little more time but I am not sure I will stick with it. BUT those 50's glasses he wears have to go!

I missed the first couple minutes, I came in right as they started reacting to everyone dying.
I think it could be interesting. I'm neither here nor there about the guy, but I didn't like 24 (ugh, the premise is so fake).

Did they indicate which position the "designated survivor" held prior to the attack? I did quick research and didn't see it. I will work to find it or if someone wants to put it up under a spoiler button I won't mind. Thanks

Yes his position was mentioned quite often in the episode. He was the HUD Secretary.

See what all I missed? Though I guess that's basically a huge demotion and basically a nice way to fire someone based on the way some other characters were talking.

Looks like it has been picked up for a full season. The ratings and response must have been favorable.

I think the show will be worth watching. Unlike a lot of new shows, it has a plot that is progressing.

I forgot to mention I have always liked Virginia Madsen and am happy to see her on the show. So Kiefer aside I pretty much like the rest of the cast.

I only was interested at first because of Keifer Sutherland but then when it came time and the show started. I felt I really don't want to get into another drama, and another President drama. (Lost Ship / Scandal). then 3 episodes saved and I was so close to just delete and remove the series. but one night I was sick and coughing and couldn't go to sleep. so I binged all three episodes and like the show and don't or didn't have to force myself to keep watching. as I am now interested in the characters.

Anyone still watching this? I wish I could figure out what the deal is with the congressman who survived...can't remember his name.

tcu,
The congressman who survived is either being manipulated by those in charge of the bombing or he is part of the conspiracy. His character appears clueless and apathetic; therefore, it is difficult to determine where his allegiance lies.

Is anyone still watching it? Will Maggie Q survive?? I'm still watching. I think she'll survive, but no idea why other than I don't think they'll write off her character (yet, at least).

I hope you right. I have such love-hate relationship with those type of shows- I like the suspense, but I also hate that so many things need to be "set straight" I hope her boss gets released and there is a happy ending.

Ditto on the love-hate relationship. It drives me crazy that we know the VP pick/surviving senator is a bad guy, but the President does not, and who knows if it'll be revealed to him and the female senator before his nomination is confirmed.

I don't get those "winter breaks" that shows now have.
