Hello tax experts,
Self-employed first half of 2015. Second half, worked from home full time as an employee.
How to claim deduction for expenses for business use of home deduction? So much information on this topic - very confusing. Does below approach make sense?
With the simplified method, use Schedule C for the 1099-Misc income from self employment? And claim as Misc business expense on Schedule A for the W2 income as employee?

Be sure you have a letter from the employer stating it is for their convenience.
