From the opening post:
"Have you been to Red Lobster's Crabfest? How was it?"
I had dinner at a Red Lobster several months ago. Prior to that dinner, I had last dined at a Red Lobster around 1995. Now I know why 23 years have passed since the first and most recent time I dined at a Red Lobster: the quality of the food and the preparation of it was horrible.

My husband asks every year if we can go to Red Lobster. He has fond memories of it from when he was young, but I was raised by a food snob and I have passed that expensive little habit on to my husband and kids. For the first 10 years or so of our marriage, I would have gone, but now I don't even think he wants to go. He just says it for fun.

I was raised in New England and lived a number of years on the coast of Long Island Sound. Fresh, not frozen, seafood year round.

For the first 10 years or so of our marriage, I would have gone, but now I don't even think he wants to go. He just says it for fun. I was raised in New England and lived a number of years on the coast of Long Island Sound. Fresh, not frozen, seafood year round. I was not raised either on or near the coast and there were 9 in my family, so crab was not the "norm" for dinner. The only times I remember having crab growing up it was fresh- because we had caught it that day. In my life, I have eaten at Red Lobster twice, right after they first opened (in Utah). Both times I was disappointed. I thought maybe I was too picky since the person I went with seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. But I don't think the people I went with had ever had fresh seafood either. When I see their ads, for a split second I want to go back. Then I remember how disappointed I was and decide it isn't worth it. I wish it was! It would be worth it to me to spend the $$$ if I knew I was going to get good quality crab. I have wanted good crabcakes since way before I originally posted this thread! You'd think I could get those.

I wouldn't go to Red Lobster for the crab. Shrimp maybe, but not crab. I grew up in the midwest and my Dad liked Red Lobster. For some things they are OK. They can't compete with non chain restaurants on the coast.

Ahem, there does not appear to be any difference between the easy and hard versions of the crabber challenge. I'm somewhat ashamed to mention this. 1470

Crabfest game is SO much easier to play on a touchscreen! My guess is that the Michael Jackson game is also. My hand/eye coordination is not as good when I play on a different screen. And I keep "losing" track of my mouse, That wasn't much of an issue when I was touching the screen. The Michael Jackson game cracks me up! But there's no score!?!?! What's up with that? There must be a lesson in there somewhere! LOL

I just find the game and the real incident absurdly funny. The score can be found to the right and above michael jackson. Kind of had to see.
