This morning one of my gym rat friends gave me a present for my upcoming hike; about 6 bags of backpacking dinners. She got them as part of a Costco Emergency Kit package. They don't expire until 2018 but she is by herself (husband passed about 3 years ago) and she didn't want them to go to waste.
We live in earthquake country. That food should be good for a while even past its expiration date. I think she is just being supportive of my goal. She keeps telling me how good I look since losing my 24 lbs. 6lbs to go!
Share something kind someone has done for you recently.
ETA: And I'm open to ideas of how to "pay" her back.

Yesterday, DH picked through our garbage for me to find some mailing envelopes and sent me screen snaps of the tracking numbers.
He also went grocery shopping this morning at o'dark thirty while I knitted and watched Harry Potter with DS this morning.
My MIL has been so kind to me. Last year, she made me a quilt for my 40th. She made the quilt for the first time and gave it away. I DID do a good job of hiding my disappointment, but I REALLY liked that quilt. So she promptly went online and bought all new fabric and made it a second time, just for me.
For mother's day one year, she had us over and made my favorite meal.

Big Lots 20% off weekend where I had an over full cart. The woman behind me had 2 items. I told her to go ahead of me. She thanked me.

We went to a funeral this morning and DD came with her 5 kids. DH bought us all lunch after church and we invited the kids over to swim in the little pool I got the other day. They had a blast!

How has this turned from someone else doing something kind to posters doing something kind? Either way, it was kind, which is what's important, I think. Both doing something kind for someone else and focusing on something kind, done for you. -Just my opinion. A friend called me today and invited me to go shopping. Another friend contacted me yesterday, to see if I can use some storage shelves, he no longer needs and are in his way. Nice.

How has this turned from someone else doing something kind to posters doing something kind? This board attracts a higher than average amount of kind people?i can try again... About a year ago I went BK for breakfast, I have a bit of an unhealthy love for their croissandwichs, when I pulled up to window they told me the person in front of me paid for my order. That was a nice way to start the day. That was very kind of you to say.
