It's been since Tuesday night. I'm feeling like there's zero effort being made. My girlfriend finally got hers yesterday. But I feel like I give them information and they just ignore it instead of following up on it. Is there anyone I can contact to help ? A honcho?

What airline? Did you fill out the lost bag form before leaving the arrival point?
Writing a heated letter to customer service will get you some attention. Phone calls can be blown off.

Post a song on YouTube like the guy did when airlines lost his guitar! At least I think it was a guitar. Sorry, that's all I got since I have never had lost luggage. Nevermind, I found it and they just broke his guitar. Hopefully it will show up soon.

I have and I call daily. Sometimes twice a day. My girlfriend finally got hers and the problem was in Dublin they told her. When I passed that into British airways about checking in Dublin , they seemed disinterested. I need a honcho name.

The smeared barcode was most likely the issue. Automation is great when it works. When it doesn't work, woe be unto man.
