DS graduates on Saturday. Only a few family members can make it, so afterward we're going to do a picnic. I baked the cookies today (new recipe), cut out to say "Congratulations (name) 2016".
No more making cookies that look like turtles for a book report (Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing), or two-ingredient "haystack" cookies that he needs last minute. *sigh*

It's weird when the things hit you... baccalaureate, fine, cookies...  He's going to stay home for a year, work part time and go to the community college. He wants to go to one of the state schools after that. He's disappointed he's not leaving right away, but he wouldn't get his grades up sooner, so... Hopefully it all works out! |

He has you to help him through whatever comes his way. Congrats on your excellent parenting of your sweet son. He'll be just fine but I know mom's worry until - forever. They seem to take that on as their full time job even when kids do great right off the bat. I think it's called love or something.  And add me to the list of cookie donations. I'll even take the Christmas cookie (remember your 'drunk' candy canes?) fails.  |

Hugs Apple. It's really bittersweet, isn't it? I was telling DS3 and DH yesterday, I feel like I'm being laid off.
Yesterday was DS3's last day of class, today was Senior Day. Now 3 more weeks of the Baccaulareate, then Graduation in early July.
And congrats to both of you! He's a fine young man.
