Absolutely! Besides mine being a little disorganized, mine is looking pretty good. If you want a complete inventory, I'd have to do it and write it down.

love it! I'll take a full inventory when I get home, but I can say that it's looking a bit light right now. between donating some of the processed stuff (as well as canned veggies and beans) to a couple different food drives and not replenishing the stash at the rate we're eating it, I'm definitely running light.

The final freezer outcome for me is good. All the stuff that is in there now is something I would eat. and will likely be cleaned out completely by first of august.

Good job at reducing the processed items, chiver78 ! BG, your pantry sounds well rounded. Similar to you, we did a good job at reducing the freezer items down last month. We were down to no proteins (except for leftover containers), a few bags of frozen veggies, and other leftover items such as homemade chicken broth, etc. Our pantry, from top to bottom: Shelf 1: Non food items such as serving trays, etc. on the top shelf. Shelf 2: A box of garbage bags, and condiments such as mayo, ranch, jarred spag and Alfredo sauces, pizza sauce, A1, dried pinto beans, and numerous empty jars for an annual Fall food related project. Shelf 3: Canned goods, alphabetized by category, with one shelf rack: Beans, broth, chicken, chili, chilies, corned beef hash, olives, pumpkin, soup, tomatoes, tuna. Shelf 4: Primarily baking and cooking, also has a shelf rack: Crisco, almond and coconut flours, Splenda, cocoa powder, brown and powdered sugars, baking soda, salt, coffee, unsweetened chocolate, nuts, olive and canola oils, etc. Shelf 5: Random items. Empty fish bowl, rice neck warmer, electric heating pad, sugar free Torani syrups, boxed cereal for DH, extra PT rolls from the garage stash, a green bean 12 pack from Sam's. Floor: A collapsible organizer cube like this one cube full of neatly folded paper bags, napkins, and party items such as paper plates and cups, plastic utensils, etc. Large bottle of vinegar, DH's lunch bucket, and a fire extinguisher. Other things such as pasta, and DH's lunch and snack items are in "his cupboard" for easy reach on busy mornings for his lunch making. Foil, plastic wrap and wax paper are in a drawer. Other cooking and baking items such as cupcake holders, food coloring, extracts, Sriracha, rice and red wine vinegars, cooking spray, etc. are on two Lazy Susan's above the stove. And yes, I am avoiding work. LOL

I have a shelf, no pantry. Silly apartment doesn't think we need pantry space. Food is on my shelves. I couldn't for the life of me tell you what, except for the cans of veggies.

After last night no Thai peanut sauce and one less Olive oil. Peanut sauce fell off the shelf from two shelves up and landed on the olive oil breaking the neck of it off. Total mess to clean up.

I didn't count my big oval crock pot (that I no longer need). There were a few other items I skipped over too.

Top shelf: multiple packages/bottles of various sugars (cane, light brown, dark brown, confectioner's), molasses, corn syrup, honey, real maple syrup), 6-7 boxes of egg replacer second from top shelf: many bags of allergen-free chocolate chips/chocolate chunks/butterscotch chips/m&m type candies, multiple bags of coconut flakes, multiple allergen-free cake mixes, multiple cans of sweetened condensed milk, graham cracker crumbs, multiple cans of Irish steel cut oats, middle shelf: extra bottles of assorted spices, several bottles of EVOO and canola oil, multiple bottles of balsamic/red/cider/white vinegars, multiple bottles of various salad dressings, multiple bottles of capers/garlic, multiple jars of peanut butter and jelly, several bottles of good vanilla extract, taco shells, several jars of salsa, a couple bottles each of ketchup/mustard/relish/pickles second shelf from the bottom: multiple packages of assorted vegan pastas, several bags of rainbow quinoa/brown rice/jasmine rice, raisins, applesauce, 10 pounds of vidalia onions, several heads of garlic bottom shelf: multiple cans of various tomato products, several cans of chicken chunks, a few cans of kidney and black beans, a few cans of pineapple, some cartons of broth, some cartons of shelf-stable milk, multiple boxes of assorted allergen-free granola bars, multiple bags of Red Sox peanuts in the shell, in boxes and/or tubs under the bottom shelf or on the floor: jarred spaghetti sauce, various King Arthur flours (white/white whole wheat/bread/whole wheat)sealed in jumbo ziplock bags ready to freeze for 48 hours before use, graham crackers/allergen-free chocolate bars/marshmallows for s'mores around the fire pit, multiple boxes of assorted freeze dried fruits, multiple boxes of allergen-free trail mix, several boxes of cereal, dog food, dog treats There's probably more that I am forgetting. I'm nothing if not a loyal follower of Amy Dacyczyn's Pantry Principle. Well, that and, because of a previous owner's obvious lack of teenage boys, I only have one overhead cabinet in the kitchen proper for food.

I got so behind in cooking because of working 6 days a week for long months at a stretch. I just threw away brownie mixes, a few canned vegetables, cooking oil, and a few other things. I am trying to eat up everything I have in the pantry . Then, I'll slowly buy things a few here or there on sale but not major stock up. I am doing the same thing with cleaning supplies. If the 50 cents more expensive is easier to use, and I'll use it, I am going to buy it. It saves me no money buying something that requires more labor, and I don't use it.

What's wrong with Stacy's chips? I would not buy 4 bags of munchies because they probably wouldn't last long. I figure if I buy one or two max, there's a limit to the amount I'll eat in a day ... or so. After a bad day at work, I can eat way too many chips.
Of course it seems lately the grocery store likes to have sales on must buy 2 or must buy 3.

Okay, ummm.... I have quite a bit of space...and an adult son...and a "need" to stock up when things are on sale...and a callous disregard for expiration dates. Does anybody see a problem here? Limiting my "pantry" contents to only packages, jars, cans, or boxes of things that have not been opened yet (and not counting non-food things and "ingredients") I counted 195 things of over 30 types. Is that a lot? It seems like a lot.

My pantry basically consists of extra bottles of Polar Lime Tonic water. The quinine helps DH with his restless legs. Or so he thinks. Also a couple bottles of Polar Orange Dry for me to mix with my vodyka. And some black olive and mandarin oranges. To eat, not mix with my drinks. Ick.

I've done a good job keeping my pantry supplies under control, but once again, I need to empty it completely and then rearrange where I have things. I need to do a much better job putting things away after bringing groceries in the house. I seem to have no discipline at all, I just shove thing wherever they will fit.

I "shopped" my pantry while packing for our 2 week stay in Maine at the beginning of July. I made a mess of things while pulling stuff out. I brought a good amount of pantry stuff back home and it is still sitting in the tubs I packed it in until I have time to do a complete re-organization.

My pantry is 6' long, 4' wide & has shelves on 3 sides...deep ones to the back for small appliances.
There are too many items in there to count/inventory. We just added 12 bags of puffed wheat & 12 bags of puffed rice...DH's breakfast mixed with generic cherrios. Can't find them in any stores without sugar added so I buy quantity online.
I shop both Sam's & Costco so any item I use that I can buy in either large size of quantity, I do. I buy 2 cases of 48 ct. cat food at one time, so those are stacked on one side on the floor...out of their boxes. I buy white popcorn in quantity on the net....there is currently 3 - 6 lb. bags of it on a shelf...yes, I LIKE popcorn and fix it frequently.
Since we live rural, I try not to run out of anything if at all possible. And when there is a food donation needed, it's easy to pick items that will be useful for those.

So far today I've consolidated some Frenchs Onion Rings, Keurig K-cups and Keurig K-cups for decade coffee. I need to get some canned goods in a better spot so I can see what I have...but this darn Netflix is getting in the way of my objectives.

Okay, here goes. 76 jars of dried spices, herbs and blends. Brown & white sugars. Couscous, quinoa, farro, polenta. Cheerios, shredded wheat, oatmeal and muesli. Ten assorted vinegars. Extra soy, teriyaki and hoisin sauces. Seaweed, soba noodles and bonito flakes. Dried chickpeas, lentils, white beans. Brown and white rice. Spaghetti, penne and farfalle. Vacuum-packed mushroom ravioli. Canned diced tomatoes, harissa paste, cannellini beans and coconut milk. Chicken and vegetable stock. Kosher, sea and flavored salts. Tea leaves. No room for coffee pods so they are in front hall closet with the vacuum cleaner.
My name is Done That and I am addicted to Penzey's spices.

I couldn't tell you what all I have. Just finished my annual canning, so have a 5 or 6 shelf rack full, another rack full of bathroom items, another of cooking items, another half full. These are the big units from Sam's and in my pantry in the basement. One big freezer full, and one smaller freezer full. Then my freezer on my 3 door fridge is full, that sucker holds a lot. And I have a 5 shelf pantry upstairs chuck full. Plus buckets of sugar, oats, wheat, and a big storage container of all kinds of pastas, noodles, and beans. Flour is in the freezer though.
Yep, I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse.

I still have a ton of home canned salsa, zucchini relish, tomatoes, tomato sauce, pizza sauce, and green tomato relish.
Peanut butter, refried beans, various canned fruit.
Lots of oats and pasta.
I have a "spice cupboard", we just grab different kinds whenever we make hamburgers or roasted potatoes.
We also have a "tea cupboard", DS is always drinking tea, so lots of different types, loose leaf in small mason jars, etc.
I also keep backup oil... coconut, avocado, olive, walnut, chili, sesame, peanut, wok oil...
I just bought some canned soup and canned beef and asian vegetables, and chicken with sweet and sour and asian vegetables. We didn't have anything that could just be thrown on the stovetop or microwave, everything in the house needed full prep/cooking. Every now and then it's nice to have something to just nuke for a couple minutes.

My pantry has no people food in it. It has cat food & cat treats & frontline.
It also stores my bread maker, crock pot, turkey pan, mandolin slicers & probably a few other things I can't remember.
And plastic bags. It is over run by plastic bags that I keep shoving in after shopping.
I couldn't begin to tell you what is in my lazy susan. Lots of soup, egg noodles, cooking oil, mac & cheese, canned veggies. It is stuffed to the gills but I have no idea what is in there.

I order from a Spice.com site on line, the spices are wonderful and the price is way way cheaper then the store. The spices are sooo much fresher and just very good. Love it

We just added to our pantry the last of the root crops: four pints of carrots and two pints of pickled beets. Also dehydrated the beet greens and added the carrot tops and greens to several of our "boiling bags" in the freezer. Tomorrow is Senior Tuesday at the Fred Meyer store and we'll be taking advantage of the 10% savings for several food items like shortening, potatoes, lentils and ice-cream cones (that is, cones in which to put ice cream -- not premade cones). Will probably get a package of chicken thighs because they're on sale for the unheard-of price of 97 cents per pound. As for our pantry, it's mostly in the basement: donnafreedman.com/the-low-maintenance-preppers/

I want to eat at your house! It was the cat food, wasn't it? Yeah, I'm weird that way. And it's not bad over udon noodles with a little hit of fish sauce. But we may need help with the wine pairing.

Well, if it's Friskies Salmon Florentine, it's not bad at all, with a sprinkling of Ras El Hanout spice, garnished with a paper-thin twist of lemon and a sprig of parsley. Presentation is everything, you know. A nice Pinot Grigio, I think.
