A young man is suing TSA for a detention he went through because he made a protest against body searches at the Richmond Virginia International airport. The nature of his protest?? He had the 4th Amendment, (the one against unreasonable searches and seizures), written on his chest. He must recognize the TSA cupboard is almost bare though. He's only suing for a quarter million dollars. www.wired.com/threatlevel/2011/03/4th-amendment-on-chest/

I read a quote over the last week (I'll have to try and find it), but the guy basically said we should have two lines at the airport that lead to to different planes; one for people who don't mind being searched, racially profiled, and some of their rights restricted. And one where they don't infringe on any rights, don't search, and there is no racial profiling and see which one people choose to fly with.

Well, Chi... that would be a positive step in the direction of promoting personal and freedom of choice, pursuit of happiness, blah...blah...blah.... There are no rights delineated in the Constitution or anywhere else that are absolute.

Never forget that while the lawsuit names the TSA, it is you and I (or our grandchildren) who ultimately pays.

And never forget it is the TSA that cost you, and NOT the man standing up for your, and your grandchildren's 4th Amendment rights and insisting on his 1st Amendment right to speak out. We pay in treasure now or we pay in blood later.

That is why most lawsuits on principal are for $1.
