Please tell me that we didn't use tax $$$ to fund a study to see if drinking makes people happy.

Some animals intentionally eat fermented fruit to get a buzz on. They seem to enjoy it.

IT was the London School of Economics. Tax dollars, but not ours. But the primary purpose was not to determine if alcohol makes you happy. It was to better understand general conceptions of well being. This particular article just wrote up the findings regarding alcohol. And in the conclusions they actually weren't all roses for the drinking "In conclusion, while iPhone users are happier at the moment of drinking, there are only small overspills to other moments, and among the wider population, changing drinking levels across several years are not associated with changing life satisfaction. Furthermore, drinking problems are associated with lower life satisfaction. Simple accounts of the wellbeing impacts of alcohol policies are therefore likely to be misleading. Policymakers must consider the complexity of different policy impacts on different conceptions of ‘wellbeing’, over different time periods, and among different types of drinkers."

So, drinking some now and then makes you happy for a bit, being a drunk causes problems that make you unhappy.
I'm pretty sure most of us knew that already - but thanks London School of Economics for confirming that.

I think it's more process than anything. What a great new way to track consumer behavior. Constant app feedback. Soon it will just be embedded in Fitbit no need to offer direct feedback.

And these are future CEOs. We're doomed. Is it unexpected that a CEO type would hire an expensive consultant to tell him what you've been trying to tell him for years?

Actually that study is better because it at least uses some math. Math is superior to Economics.
