I'm in! I could use a shopping buddy. Yay! I love shopping! You're not supposed to admit that on YM! You hate shopping and only purchase replacement pieces when absolutely necessary. And if it's not a classic you can wear for at least 10 years, you buy it at Goodwill!

I wore a pair of shoes that I've had for probably two years for the first time the other day. My YM card never actually existed.

How much time do you have? If you have some time to spare, I like eshakti a lot - and you can customize the dress length, sleeves, measurement, etc. for like $12. But it take a couple weeks to arrive. Bless you for posting this! I have a few things I have to go to this summer and fall and I've been dreading it. I'm a prude and most of the things I find are either too short or too low cut for my tastes, or they're 70's caftans. I think I can work with this! My only note with them is believe them when they show pics of the sleeves. Their sleeves are less fitted than I typically like. But otherwise, I've liked every thing I've gotten from there. Clothes fit well, hold up, and the fabrics are true to color and description. They make an effort to make sure the fabric is aligned where it should be and drapes well. I mean, none of its silk shantung, but its well done.

Even better! A trip and a show! I'm there! Did I mention all the booze you can drink? I hope the food is better than in Punta Cana. Uh, do you know how many calories good drinks have? Easy way to make your caloric intake. It's the new juice cleanse...Just add vodka.

We'll need the story when it's done! hell yes. Well it started with the groom's parents finding out he was engaged via Facebook. I think most of the family is skipping it since they are having a destination wedding. And I've heard rumors the groom is basically a functional alcoholic. This should be great. And oh yeah starting Sunday evening you have to ignore them at the resort. I get the whole honeymoon thing but I think this is the problem with destination weddings.

LOL, no, not yet. You've all given me such great ideas, though. I am trying to sort through them all and decide. I also want to add as an aside and not related to any of the dresses you all have suggested, that I am NOT a fan of the huge exposed back zipper thing. I think it's a cheap shortcut and it has ruined several beautiful sheaths I might have otherwise selected. And that trend is evenly spread across high-end designer dresses and discount dresses. Such a shame. Zippers are NOT ornamental.

I may have found it at Pants' EShakti website. It's an interesting website. Tons of options and the ability to customize dresses, which is fabulous because I can add short sleeves to this. However, I did find it hard to view all the dresses for sale. If you try and narrow it down by style or color, it leaves out quite a few. I finally figured out how to view ALL of the dresses for sale and found this -- nautical, I can add the short sleeves, a sheath -- perfect!

It IS pretty, but IF I can get them, I want short sleeves (need to hide some Mohs procedure scars from skin cancer).

I'm getting ads for dresses now. I was too on ProBoards and Facebook too! Some of the dresses were really nice too but I don't want to buy any no matter how nice they look. (I'm determined. Hopefully, I can still resist. )

Clearly, NOTHING, not even dress shopping, is private on the internet.

Pants, thanks for that link, my SIL wants links to go shopping online, they live out in the country. So I'm collecting safe links for her. On her own she gets into trouble like shopping at Zulily. The clothes she got from there were abysmal.

Why did you have to share the site?! Now I'm going to be on it all the time! I don't need this stuff. But I do. I've already found a few dresses I'm going to get.

I know I'm a guy, so my vote doesn't count, but if you wear this, every guy there is going to be staring at your chest. The dress draws attention to your legs and chest. Just saying.... BTW, I was the Bridesman/Anger Translator for a friend two weeks ago. She had a beach wedding. Some of the women wore cream colored pantsuits, but we instructed everyone to dress casual. I also recall some turquoise blue colors, and some gold dresses. The bridesmaids wore a peach/pink colored dresses. I wore a tan/sand-colored tux without the jacket, electric blue tie, same as the groomsmen. GF wore a sleeveless navy skirt. The groom's sister/bride's new sister-in-law wore a bright blue low-cut dress that she was falling out of, completely inappropriate for a wedding. She lives in Las Vegas, and from the details I've heard about her, I suspected she is a stripper. The dress pretty much removed all doubt. GF had to stop me twice from going over during the reception to 'have a word with that bleeping whore'. (She had already been a b-word in the months leading up to the wedding, complaining she didn't have a role, then when finally given a job, decided she didn't want to do it two days before the ceremony. I had already promised the bride I was going to punch NSIL in the ovaries after I made the 5 hour drive to the beach. ) The wedding came off beautifully, and the reception was a blast.
