I've dropped the ball on a bunch of stuff lately.
I forgot to pay my parents bills why they are in FL. Their credit card got shut off becias it was 2 weeks late I had to arrange a pay over the phone today to get it turned back on.
I forgot to mail something to my mom she asked for.
I forgot got to make my kids shower tonight.
I forget stuff at the grocery store.
I forgot to write down some bills I paid.
I I can't remember where the kids have to go and when. If it's not on the calendar, it doesn't happen.
Im behind on my workout goals.
Tonight's dinner was leftover mashed potatoes and easter candy.
I just remembered I forgot to,write some thank you notes I was asked to for a board I'm on.
I fail to make sure my kids do the recommended amount of reading each night.
i rely too much on prepared foods.
I really need to pull it together. I'm not sure how.

Well when you figure out the answer, please let me know cuz I'm in the same boat.
The only thing I can think of in my case (besides the overwhelming malaise at work) is the fact that I haven't been getting much yoga in lately. I did something to my wrist so I can't do any more vinyasa yoga until it heals. That stuff keeps me together...I guess more than I realized. Try to squeeze your workouts in - even if it's a short one. YouTube is my friend .... I highly recommend Jessica Smith TV for Barre or Fitnessblender for various types of workouts in various lengths.

The only bad thing on that list was forgetting to mail your parents' bills. The rest from showers to supper are all things that are normal. If your kids didn't like mashed potatoes with Easter eggs (truly funny image), they didn't eat it and got themselves a pop tart or something. They are old enough to remember to take a bath themselves. Etc.
Cut yourself some slack. Obviously, you have a lot going on.
However, never underestimate the power of a to-do list. And sticky notes on the counter. I have two things to do tomorrow, and I already can't remember the first one. The second one is to run the dishwasher. DH hates to hear it so I always try to run it before he gets up. But without that sticky note, whatever the first thing is has totally left my head already.

Start using a simple bullet journal? Basically an ongoing task list/brain . You write everything down in one place so you don't have to try to remember everything all the time. That's what I've had to resort to recently. It's been more or less successful.

Start using a simple bullet journal? Basically an ongoing task list/brain . You write everything down in one place so you don't have to try to remember everything all the time. That's what I've had to resort to recently. It's been more or less successful. This is similar to what I was going to suggest. Schedule routine tasks in your planner or on Outlook. For a manual planner, I like the Franklin Planner series. You can insert pages for things such as grocery lists. If you really want to get anal, you could create a grocery checklist and just add quantities for pantry staples. A few minutes for a weekly inventory and you're all set to shop. Can your assistant help you with some of the routine tasks, such as preparing the checks to pay your folks bills so you can sign them, drafting the thank you notes for your signature, etc. As far as meals are concerned, I wonder of you could adapt a meal preparation practice I saw in Paris so that it fits you lifestyle. In Paris, I sat near the window of a restaurant we were eating at and watched folks buy a prepared dinner on their way home from work. Baguette from the bolangerie, desert from the patisserie, an entree from the restaurant across the street, and a roasted green bean side dish from the restaurant I was at. Not so fast food take out.

When I'm in the shower, sometimes I forget whether I have washed my hair or not, so it probably gets washed twice a lot. Same with putting on deodorant.
You have a lot on your plate. Make lists, use your phone'system calendar, and don't worry about it. My 1.5 year old had mini wheats for dinner yesterday. It is what it is.

I try to write down everything and then I have all these pieces of paper that have crap all over them and I have no idea what they are for. Of course, I work at night so I need them to remember life during the day. Ok, usually they are my grocery list. DH can't remember what he said five minutes ago so I keep telling him to write things down that he needs to tell me or his doctors. He has a notepad by his recliner. What's written on the damn thing are takeout orders for the last 3 weeks. There's a couple of other things but they are a bit difficult to decipher because he has chicken scratch handwriting which sucks even more than my lefty writing. Good God. Feel free to send me texts of things you need done, I'll pm you my phone number, and I'll be glad to send you harassing texts in reply to make sure you get things done. That or cute pictures of my cat sitting in the rusty bathtub licking it dry. Your choice. I've thought about being a virtual assistant. You can get me started. And get me out of the hell that is baking. I hate to bake. I like to harass people to do things they are supposed to.

I forget why I was going to go to the store so just don't go. I might know I need to go to the hardware store for example then forget why so skip it. Then in a few days think what I needed then still forget to go buy it. I save a lot of money that way.

I have two little notebooks. one is for work and has a blue cover, one is for personal and has a green one. when they fill up, I replace with the same thing. my roommate thinks I'm nuts b/c I rewrite the grocery list he starts as he thinks of things, but I need it in the order of the store or I forget stuff. hugs, swamp. you've got a ton of stuff going on. I echo the suggestion to take a personal day if you can, and breathe.

We do the grocery list on a dry erase board. If dd tells me we're out of something, I tell her to put it on the board. She'll even help c put stuff on there too. And when she asks if we bought something, my response is "Was it on the board?" This is probably going to get me into trouble when they're teenagers though, randomly adding snack food to the list!

I do make lists. I have a calendar on my phone. I have to refer to my calendar all the freakin' time and can't remember anything from day to day. I even go so far as check it when I get up in the morning to see how I have to dress for work that day. Court requires different clothes than closings or an office day.
I take a picture of the list when I go to the store. The problem is, while I am wandering around the store, I remember something else I needed that wasn't on the list. about 50% of the time, I will continue to remember and get it. Sometimes I miss something on the list.
I'm just waiting to blow a major deadline at work.

My assistant is working about 50 hours a week doing work stuff. That would be mean to make her do my stuff too.
