Just got my tax return from my CPA. My husband and I own 4 rental properties and the CPA checked one sheet for 1099 required and not the other.
I remember hearing about a proposal for landlords needing to issue 1099s but I thought the proposal never passed. Could someone fill me in about what are the requirements?
Thanks!

Any individual you pay $600+ during the year
IRS passed it for rentals in 2013, removed but not deleted from form same year

CPA called back today and said the IRS is not enforcing it against LLs. She unchecked the box.
