www.cnsnews.com/news/article/labor-backers-arrested-tennessee-capitolDeath to the useless, corrupt and criminal public unions! Nashville, Tenn. (AP) - Troopers have forcibly carried out seven union supporters from the Tennessee Capitol after their protest disrupted a Senate committee hearing. The seven were among those who stood up during a committee hearing Tuesday and began chants about "union busting" by the Legislature. Most demonstrators left the hearing room after a half-hour, but a small group tried to lock arms to keep from being removed. Troopers pulled the holdouts out of the room one by one, while lawmakers, lobbyists and other observers looked on. The protesters were arrested and face charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The disruption occurred after hundreds of labor supporters gathered for a midday protest near the Capitol to denounce a bill to strip teachers of their collective bargaining rights.

'.......... And how is this any different than the Tea Party folks that disrupted meetings and were praised for it?............"
Steff, I don't believe the Tea Party people ever staked out a squatter's rights claim to ownership of a piece of somebody else's real estate and refused to leave it after they were "encouraged" to do so by anybody with police authority.
Of course maybe I was just not paying attention and missed the bruhaha over any of it, but I have every confidence that someone in the media would have made it into a major story each time it ocurred. I am even more confident that you will show me several links to the times it did make the news.
So what'dya say? Got any references?

Here is another U.S. Capitol Police arrested 10 people this afternoon after the Capitol Hill Tea Party crowd stormed Congressional office buildings.
Sgt. Kimberly Schneider, public information office for the Capitol Police, told TPMDC the arrests happened in the Cannon House building as tea partiers attempted to protest Speaker Nancy Pelosi about health care.
They were charged with unlawful entry (entering a Congressional office and refusing to leave when told to do so) and/or disorderly conduct (yelling in the hallway outside an office) at Room 235 in the Cannon House Office Building.
Room 235 is Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office for district business, not where she conducts her duties as Speaker. That's handled at an office in the Capitol building. tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/11/strange-scene-10-arrested-as-tea-party-watchers-heckle-police.php

One wonders why no one in the mob that stormed the Capitol building in Madison were arrested- climbing into windows, assaulting elected officials (Pelosi wasn't assaulted, was she? I'd pay good money to see that), blocking access to offices, and they defnitely refused to leave when ordered to do so.

And of course the taxpayers don't fund TEA Party protestors, or put TEA Party lawmakers up in hotels.
