I tend to be looking for older shows on Netflix because I never seem to be free at the day/time anything current is on. I will be really sad when Downton Abby is done.

kittensaver my 12 year old son is a HUGE Food Network fan - I have seen every episode on Netflix of Cutthroat Kitchen, Throwdown, Americas worst cooks, and about 10 other series I can't recall at this moment.
I still need to watch season 3 of House of Cards, but likely need to rewatch seasons 1 and 2 since its been so long.

Tudors and/or Justified if you need some Eye candy. Game of Thrones Madmen True Detective Weeds for a no-thinker show NCIS in the first seasons
On our to-watch list is Homeland House of Cards Orange is the New Black Sons of Anarchy Downton Abbey
We recently re-watched the Sopranos. DH also likes watching Sherlock as well.

We just finished watching Longmire on Netflix - we enjoyed it. It started on A&E, I think, but now it is a Netflix show. New season isn't going to be released until September though.
We also just started 11/22/63 on Hulu. That's a 8 or 9 part series based on the book.

If you don't mind subtitles I recommend Gran Hotel on Netflix. It is my new favorite. Like Downton Abby it is also a period show and is set in the early 1900s Spain. I love the costumes and it is interesting to see the juxtaposition between the servants and the wealthy family that owns the hotel.

I have no idea if it's on Netflix or not but The Knick is awesome if you're into historical fiction and period dramas. It's about a hospital in NYC in the early 1900s and stars Clive Owen. So, so good.

I don't know if this is on Netflix either, but I started watching Suits when it first came out and then we stopped. So I started watching it to finish it off thanks to Amazon Prime. But last year's season wasn't on there yet so I am watching it through the USA app on my IPad. I am recording this year's (the last year's) season on the DVR.
When I finish, I am going to go back and finish Under the Dome. DH just gets tired of stuff, and then I never know how it ended.

Terrible name, but Scrotal Recall is a cute and funny British show about a guy who find out he has chlamydia and decided to inform his old partners (and to figure out where it came from), and finds love along the way.

If you like British shows, Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch is excellent. I think it's on Netflix.
Or if you like less fast paced British shows, Netflix has like a jillion seasons of Midsummer Murders - murders take place in the charming British countryside that must have a murder rate of like 1 in 100. Always a little humorous and only the nasty people who deserve it end up getting killed.
For a version of Downton Abbey set back in a time when the royalty could still chop off your head, the Tudors.
