The Korean Peninsula moved up to 5 centimeters (2 inches) to the east because of last week's quake off the coast of Japan, South Korea's Astronomy and Space Science Institute said Wednesday, according to the Yonhap News Agency. The quake moved Japan's main island of Honshu 8 feet (243 centimeters), the U.S. Geological Survey reported earlier.

As cliche as it may sound, I'm amazed by this.

Amazing! And yet we mere Earthinglings here in America never felt or noticed a thing. They say the North and South Poles, millenia ago, were at the Equator, and eventually migrated to the North and south. Should we assume it was a series of big quakes that moved them? And should we worry, that maybe, just maybe, they are migrating again? 2012 is right around the corner, so I really hope not. I planned for a really long retirement...............

See Chilean earthquake: everything moved there also. A re-alignment of continents.
