I'm thrown off by some of the questions in tax act while I prepare my taxes. We contributed $6250 to our 2015 HSA and spent it all on medical expenses. Tax Act is saying that all distributions will be reported on a 1099-SA, which we didn't get (and never have). Is the system alluding to some other distribution from the account? Or are medical expenses not considered a distribution?

I have had an HSA for 2 years. Both years I received a 1099-SA from the HSA provider.

Your HSA administrator is required to send you a 1099-SA in any year there is a distribution from the HSA. I would recommend you call the administrator if you do not get a 1099-SA by the second week in February.
