and we actually have a nomination, both candidates have to pick a running mate. Regardless of the candidates running and the eventual candidate, I am having trouble picking a proper running mate for any of them.
Hillary, who would it be? Bernie? O'Malley? I know a Long shot but who would it be?
The Donald? Cruz? Rubio? Kasich? Carson? Bush? Christie? and whoever is still left after the first two primaries......
Hillary can probably pick someone of ability that will help her in the fall, but I do not expect Warren. An all woman ticket would be hard to get to the finish line in America. Look for a Governor to fill the slot. Bernie, maybe Elizabeth Warren, but could the dems allow two far left wingers on the ticket?
The Donald? I have no clue who would help or actually commit to the Vice Presidential ticket with him. Cruz and Rubio have to pick someone that could help them everywhere but the south, so good luck balancing that ticket. Kasich needs someone to pick up the entire southern Republican vote Carson, I do not even want to go there Bush, I would pick Kasich for the Midwest vote, Oho, Pennsylvania, maybe Michigan. Indiana would already be there, but Illinois will not break from any of the three democratic possibilities. Christie, he is interesting, and I am not sure who would be a good fit to help him.
Do the Republicans pull a Senator or Governor to fill the ticket?

Bernie Elizabeth Warren is the only thing I've come up with as well. Might as well go all in I guess. The younger people around me, 20s mostly, looooove a Bernie/warren ticket.

I think it would be political suicide, but let him do it.

I could never have imagined he'd get the nomination... (and honestly, I'm a Nate Silver fan and even though its early yet, its not like its a shoe in for Bernie at this point, the numbers are very pro Hilary at this point.) But I guess if he does Heck, Trump, Cruz, Sanders... I just really don't know what to say. It might just be early yet.

I do not see any of the current GOP candidates taking a second seat to Trump- he could get Palin I bet- or maybe Gary Busey He is the only one I think would have a problem finding a good running mate. Warren would be great for the democrats- but she has no interest. How about Joaquin Castro if he were so inclined?

How about the black apprentice candidate Amarossa? She has been stumping for him already. Now that would be a combo! Rightwing Republicans would be for Trump before they were against him!

I heard Scott Brown being tossed about for Trump. Not sure how i feel about that. However if not then i think he would choose Rubio.

Well yesterday the Donald mentioned Scott Brown, former Senator from MA. I don't know a lot about Brown. He has a pick up truck, and I think he lives in NH now.
Cruz? How do you balance slimy? Maybe Mr. Clean? I have yet to be able to take Cruz seriously.
Rubio? I would think someone older and "wiser". Maybe (chortle) Jeb! ? Nah.... Jeb! wouldn't do it, and the geography is wrong. ut someone in that mold.
For the Dems, I agree Hillary has a whole stable full of contenders, I would think someone male, a little younger, and more progressive, to hold the base.
Bernie? whew, I dunno. I think Hillary would be a perfect counterweight, but that wouldn't happen. Maybe Mary Landrieu? I have said it before for Clinton: one of the Castro brothers. Would be good for Sanders too.

Sanders would need to find a squeaky clean younger person (e.g., someone who is not heavily obligated to big business or banks) who appeals to moderates and has real government chops (due to Bernie's age). Not sure who that person would be. I think Trump would want to pick someone who he can control and who is willing to sit at the back of the bus. His outsized personality and ego could only share the role with someone who wouldn't try to take the limelight. As for the other Repos - I imagine they will do the tried and true method of picking someone from a different region of the country to try to garner as many votes there as possible.

Palin has now endorsed Trump even though Cruz seems more in tune with her politically. Has a deal been made? The Donald is a dealmaker, he's great at it.

Which makes him far more qualified than Rubio or any establishment Repos who are professional politicians that can't function in the real world.

Palin has now endorsed Trump even though Cruz seems more in tune with her politically. Has a deal been made? The Donald is a dealmaker, he's great at it. Palin is a bit of a has been. Lost her TV show, no longer an active politician. I can see how she would want to try to ride the coat tails of the Donald, since he looks like he's going places right now. Donald gains by having someone who is very appealing to the evangelicals. I can see them assuring each other that the Donald has to be a good Christian, otherwise Palin wouldn't endorse him. Despite the fact that the Donald stumbles through Bible verse quotes (and can't name his favorite) when he shows up at religious events. I wouldn't be surprised that the Donald offered Palin some post - Secretary of something or other - should he win. He can't ask her to be his VP because he already dissed McCain for being a 'loser' for losing the last election - and Palin was part of that loser ticket, which, in Trumpland, means she's a failure for life.

I heard her on a conservative talk show this morning and she sounded terrible, even grammatically incorrect and airheady. The hosts trashed her as having bought into the celebrity for the money instead of buying into her entre' into national politics and remaining valid. (well, as valid as the righties thought she was). Instead she quit on her Alaskan constituents and sold out. Her irrelevancy is now apparent but certain elements on the right still think she has something she never really did.

(there may be a thread about this already, I just hopped online now and didn't see one but sorry if its redundant)

Here you go, imawino: Sarah Palin blames her son’s domestic violence arrest on ObamaFormer Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin suggested Wednesday that President Barack Obama was to blame for the arrest of her son Track on domestic violence charges. Palin noted during a political rally in Tulsa that her 26-year-old son had served in Iraq. “My son, like so many others, they come back a bit different. They come back hardened,” she remarked in a video published by Right Wing Watch. Palin said her son suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, and that Obama had made his situation worse by allegedly disrespecting veterans. Sarah Palin blames her son’s domestic violence arrest on ObamaThat's a domestic violence defense right up there with the "It's not my fault I killed four people and injured many others. I am too rich.' affluenza defense.

Had he eaten any twinkies or Milky Way bars earlier in the day? And I'm quite sure Palin's ilk were just so opposed to that stupid war. But gotta love the whining and blame laying. What a putz!
