I took a long Holiday from posting so I could have the time to concentrate on getting my Life where I want it to be. Fast forward to today. I have a new job, new relationship and really great friends. The Smart Spending foundation has played a big part in where I am today. Positive bank balances, a simple planned out budget and making sure I put myself first have been really working well.

2016 is really shaping up to be a good year. Sometimes it's good to take a break and really focus on taking care of yourself. Weeding out the things that really don't matter really does make room for financial growth.

I was still working FT back then so I plunged into work. At this point there is still the rare bad day.

Today is actually called Blue Monday, which seems not to be a fit tribute to MLK but it is what it is. I'm actually not blue today. Thankfully.

I lost my DH in July 2009. I met someone a year ago and it looks like it might be a good match. We live separate but are getting closer with each day. I still grieve for my DH but its getting better.
